These are plastic. We didn’t look at the description carefully and thought they were glass. Other than that they are normal size drinking glasses. I was okay with the price of $25.00 when I thought they were glass but for acrylic (aka, plastic) I think they are overpriced. They will work for my daughter who is heading off to college but if they were for me I would be sending them back. I like my drinking glasses to be made of glass.     • There is Nothing "Luxurious" About Plastic Drinking Glasses! BUT WAIT, There's More!
Also, the suggestion that one give these as a wedding present is simply appalling. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of "plasticware," but I am cognizant of the fact that glass is not appropriate for every occasion, especially those that are outdoors, or where young children are involved. And so I decided to order these highball and whiskey glasses. To my shock and surprise, they are actually quite nice! They are thick and substantial, look like they would be difficult to break, and simply designed. They go in the dishwasher and are stackable in the cabinet. If they were glass, I'd order them in a second. For those times when glass is impractical or inconvenient, these are a great alternative. Simple and yes, almost elegant. (If plastic could be "elegant.") lol I've given these five stars, and they deserve it. Highly Recommended. ... show more
