I haven't used the paints yet but I just got them in today and 2 of them had leaked and didn't even have seals on them. The colors in the box look pretty but not sure how they look on anything yet but I'm hoping they look good.

It has been years since I built plastic models. Back then I used "rattlecans " and little bottles of enamels. Being older it was not only to build models again but time to use an airbrush. I also decided to use acrylics due to the non toxic and water based formulation. However, airbrush acrylics, while ready to use, are expensive. I decided to give these Tmol craft acrylics a try. At less than a buck a bottle they were intriguing. But it takes some prep to get decent results. First the surface of you plastic needs to be "deglossed " with a Scotchbrite or similar prooduct if you are priming. If not you need to lightly sand the surface with 1000-1500 grit sandpaper to give the paint something to bite to. Wash with warm soap and water and your model is good to go. The paint needs thinned. Start at 1part paint to 1 part thinner.. you may need too thin a bit more to reach a consistency of skim milk. Spray 1light coat and 2-3 heavier wet coats and your surface is painted. From here you spray some clear or leave it or whatever else you have in mind. The results are very good. What I have sprayed so far has men a matte finish. The purple model (Lotus 7) is as sprayed while the orange model (32 Ford) has an orange pearl topcoat. I am pleased l with the restyles so far. Paints have great consistency, doesn't require shaking/mixing. They are pretty opaque with exception of Lemon yellow & white (maybe a few others) but that is to be expected. There's great variety. If there's a color you need you can easily mix to make it. Like the "Flesh" one. On white resin it appears as bright, almost neon pink. I mixed to get proper skintone. My only negative was that they should pack them better prior to shipping. Several had popped seals & leaked out inside of box. They were everywhere. Overall, I love them!
