Quick shipping. Does what I need it to do. I needed a xl twin bunk bed. The futon is a great option because it gives my son's a place to sit. It took two people to assemble. The top bunk is very wobbly but it's not going to come apart. It's just that way because of the futon on the bottom, it doesn't have four posts like a traditional bunk. It's a bit squeaky but hey, they're not jumping up and down on it. (Not that I know of. But then again, they are both 6'4 (that's why the xl) so that may be physically impossible anyway). It came damaged but only cosmetically. A couple of scratches and dings. Not big enough to make a big deal out of. Did I mention boys are using this? The futon is a bit cumbersome to put up and down. It took a lot of effort. Which may be a plus. The couch won't fall flat when being sat on! The futon mattress is separate. It does not come with one. Whichever one you buy, it will slide off when in the couch position. We are constantly trying to slide it back up the frame so it's not hanging over the edge under your knees. ... show more

This is a great idea for a 6' teenager who doesn't want to have to have a queen bed that takes all of the bedroom up and still have friends over. But, this is not the product to buy. Box was damaged upon arrival, there were some small scratches but it was usable. It was fairly easy to put together, however it broke the first time we tried to use the futon. I will say the futon mattress is very heavy but from talking to everyone else that is typical and there was no mention of weight limits for the bottom mattress. Also it is very rickety, It wobbles much more than any bed or bunk bed should. Grandson also complained about the bars on the ladder that they hurt his feet. I really was hoping this would work as I could not find anything else like it and I would be willing to pay much more. ... show more

Excellent quality & very sturdy. Coupled with the Sleep Master Ultima mattress on top and the Otis 110 Haley on the bottom this unit provides a multi-use piece of furniture. Honestly, I will say it was the cheapest we found of it's type, and we picked the cheapest finish/color. To showed. Nearly every piece had some kind of scraped surface, and some had a bit of rust showing. The welding work looked like something a child would do, with large blobs in some spots and most only going partly around the connecting bar. One even had some stuck to a hole that we had to file off in order to bolt together. That being said... Other than the hole that needed filed it was simple enough to put together, two people is helpful but not necessary. The bars are sturdy enough. Most of the scrapes could be faced toward the wall or floor, and the few that aren't don't have any rough edges. Gives it kind-of a used/industrial look, but since we weren't needing something stylishly chic, it's tolerable. It's metal, it creaks, but not unusually so. I do have to say that the bed to couch hinges are good quality and move smoothly without a mattress. With added weight it's a bit heavy to maneuver easily without help. (Although the mattress we got is hinged-spring & foam hybrid and probably heavier than average). In the end...definitely not high quality finish. But it's sufficiently durable/sturdy for our teen son when he wants room for his friends to sleepover or game/chill. So it served it's purpose without breaking our budget for his nerd room makeover. ... show more

The product was easy to assemble and works nicely but OM Goodness, the delivery... I ordered the mattresses and the frame at the same time... The mattresses came at the time they said it would but the frame was 10 days late... As it was, I did not know it was going to take so long and when I noticed I said 'okay, I guess I can wait'... I was so anxious because I had been sleeping on a blow up mattress while we're waiting to find a house... When COVID-19 broke out, that pushed our time... So I ordered my son's bed because we were sharing a room in a friends' home... The frustration and the delay broke me... I would order the product again but not from this seller... WORST I KNOW!!! Thank you but no thank you... I hate that I only respond to bad service but they were the worst... Love the bed. though... ... show more

Came with slight damage, rust, ridiculously heavy box (should ship in multiple), and squeaks with every little move. Got two of these for my 10 and 12 year old, they like them but when they are laying in bed the bed rocks. I am making brackets to secure them to the wall to hopefully stop the movement. Would not purchase again but once they were together I had no plans to take apart to attempt to send back. Look for a more sturdy solution before buying. ... show more
