Lighter weight, yet is rated at more than twice the capacity of the other one, which the seller/manufacturer states is due to better engineering. Folds up more readily and has a lever to lock it in place. Very stable. I got the navy without bumps, as this will be used as a shower seat for a senior. The color of the item matched the picture. Before I removed the wrapper the stool measured shorter than described, but that's just because it is packaged not fully assembled so it takes up less space. The media could not be loaded. Always using a stool in my kitchen and this was an upgrade from my other one. Loves this thing. It even locks if you want too. So it won’t close up when picking up or standing on it. Very grippy so no slipping. Color is super cute as well. Great quality in my opinion

I picked this up mainly for the kitchen — reaching the top shelves and upper cabinets — and it's been doing exactly what I need. It feels solid underfoot with no wobbling, which was my biggest concern with a folding stool. I've stood on it plenty of times now and haven't had a single moment where I felt unsteady. The folding mechanism is simple and satisfying — it snaps open easily and folds flat in seconds. I keep it tucked between the fridge and the wall and it fits perfectly. No awkward storage situation, which was a dealbreaker with my old step stool. Giving it 4 stars rather than 5 because the non-slip surface on top feels like it could wear down with heavy use over time — too early to say for sure, but something I'm keeping an eye on. For the price though, this is a well-built, practical stool that earns its spot in the kitchen.

I purchased this step stool for one reason and one reason only. I wanted a portable seat that I could just put anywhere I was out and about taking pictures or videos. I am always on my feet, and the convenience of having a chair with me just never seemed possible. That was, until I saw another photographer carrying one with them and it hit me - that is the perfect seat! I ordered a taller one because I am 6' tall and about 200lbs. This stool is perfect. I can even stand on it to reach things that were previously out of reach, or to get shots that I normally couldn't get!

I bought this stool to use more for sitting on than for standing on., though it works great for both. It has a nice 16-inch height, which is just right for sitting. One reviewer caught my attention by saying he got it as a shower stool. It could be used for that purpose, though it does not have non-slip rubber feet that are usually on a shower chair. However, as a "sit stool" to work on things that are close to the floor/ground or when you need a stool to give you a higher reach, this stool is stable and sturdy and folds up nicely for storage.
