It's not woodworking season for me yet, but I tried it out on a test piece, it's very nice. The bottle arrived and it had leaked a little. There is no safety seal and the cap was not on tight, but there wasn't much to clean up. I assumed it's OK for a hand-rubbed finish and it went on well, and I was pleased that it had a pretty nice scent, since it is pure, there was no solvent smell at all, just kind of a nutty aroma like it says on the bottle. Since it is pure, I learned that it is a good product to use on cutting boards and wooden spoons once it is dry. I do have a cutting board that needs a little TLC so I will be giving it a good sanding and probably 4 coats of this product. I've used tung oil many times but never paid attention to any chemicals or additives, so I'm glad I got a hold of some of the good stuff, thank you.

I'm a big fan of tung oil, and pure tung oil is hard to find - at least my big box stores don't carry it. I tried this product on a small cedar project and it worked just a you would expect. Often times, for the the first coat of tung oil it is beneficial to thin it out a bit to help it soak in deeply. I didn't thin it out, but the dry cedar boards in my project had no trouble sucking in the oil. I have no doubt that this product will perform as well as a pure tung oil should. Product is labeled as "new oil made in China", which is no surprise as that is where most tung oil is produced. I have a couple of issues: First, the product arrived in a plastic Amazon bubble envelope. It is a good thing that it was plastic because the product inside was leaking. It is a good 32 oz. container, but the cap sealing ring was broken free and the cap was not screwed on very tightly. I estimate that about 2 ounces of material leaked into the bag, so when I removed the container it was dripping and had to be immediately wiped down. My guess is that the cap took a hit in the shipping process which loosened the cap. Maybe a box would be better for shipping this product. The other minor issue I had was that the printing on the product labels is very small. I couldn't read it even with my glasses on, though the fact that the labels were soaked in oil probably reduced the contrast a bit. Using the magnifier on my phone I found very complete instructions, including some thorough cautions regarding the handling of soiled rags to prevent spontaneous combustion. Because of the packaging issues I downgraded my rating a bit.

The product was great, but Amazon wasn’t. It was sent with an open top. Apparent that the sealed cap was opened before delivery. Some did leak out. Don’t think I lost much, but wondering if this was a return that was sent to me as new.

This is 100% tung oil. This tung oil gives a great finish look to natural wood. Tung oil does take up to 4 weeks to cure. Also while this tung oil is 100% natural and is food safe, tung oil is not food grade so I won't use it on my cutting boards. I really like this all natural tung oil for my wooden cabinets and floors. It's, to me, a really good value for the price.

This actually smells good, has a nice consistency and is going to be rubbed on Doug fir stairs as a finish. I’m not sure how yellowing it is over time so I’m testing first on scrap wood

This oil is nice, it is thicker but can be easily thinned with mineral spirits. The smell wasn’t too strong and I found it applied best with a rag. It dries pretty quickly, it could be that my furniture was thirsty. A good product to keep wood furniture looking nice.

Good value. Just came leaking. Using it for my food carvings like spoons and cutting boards. A few coats should be good for water protection. Smells and looks normal.

This was recommended to me by a friend, I was working on a small wood projects and didn’t want to use polyurethane. This tung oil was amazing. It was easy to apply and dried quickly, the finish only piece was amazing! I absolutely will use this whenever I get a chance, I highly recommend
