I purchased my son a PS5 and the internal hard drive filled up fast. I did some research and found that you can add additional hard drive. After searching online I kept going back to this brand after reading tons of reviews. See below Pros 1. It’s fast no issues loading or transferring games 2. The quality is excellent 3. The price is the best you can find for the amount of storage you get 4. I wouldn’t go any bigger than 2tb unless you have dozens of games 5. No issues or failures Cons 1. I didn’t realize even if you expand the space on the PS5 you still have to transfer the games from the internal to external hard drive when you want to play them. This isn’t the hard drive company’s fault it’s an issue on the gaming systems end. I just wanted to make sure everyone is aware but it didn’t stop by from buying this card. By the way the games transfer in less than a minute so it’s not a huge deal. This is the best external hard drive you’re going to find online.

It works fine. I'm reviewing this because the price is decent for 4tb and performance is good. It does have less endurance than Samsung 4tb, and it's pretty close when you factor in the premium there if you need that. but if you don't need that TBW this is an alternative. it's still a decent TBW, and that's usually one of the top things I look for; that said 5 years or X-tbw you will be hitting those years first in consumer applications. Samsung does used slighly better nand, but this isn't a bit deal really. It's a good value there are the cons, or things i didn't love - it runs hot for an nvme, my board is huge heat sinks that can deal with it, but it is much warmer than some other similar drives i've purchsed. - the heat sink on the bottom is make it hard to install in my board (because my board has a big heat sink, and it's not fun removing the one that comes iwth it because of the adhesive and you worry about damaging things. It's a good drive other wise with good performance. Honestly if it fails in the next 10 years I really will come back and adjust the review so that's clear. my expectation is all storage drives last 10 years personally. I dont care what the warranty says. I'm a software developer and will put miles on this.
