  • Sadly mine arrived broken... return has been hassle-free so far though.
I was quite excited to try this 4K Mini LED monitor with 576 zones. Sadly, the second I turned it on, my hopes were shattered... Not sure if this was either a factory defect or transit problem, but a whole column of LEDs were entirely non-functional. So, not even having had it plugged in for 5 minutes, the path was clear - back to the box, and on to request a return. At least the return process has been simple (though I did have to print a label, instead of just scanning a QR code at a UPS store), and I'm still waiting on the refund. By now I've lost a bit of confidence in getting a new monitor, perhaps it would be a better idea to wait a few months and let manufacturers/shippers figure out a good way to protect the product being sold (this is the 2nd broken monitor I receive in the past 3 months, the first one being a Pixio VA panel that came cracked on one corner...). Still, the parts of the panel that worked on this Acer looked really good, sad I wasn't able to keep it. ... show more

  • FANTASTIC screen for this price point
I see some reviews not caring for this screen, but I don't think they are really taking the price into account... this picture quality truly competes with screens double the cost. It's not quite OLED but darn close, and much brighter. Colors are great. Blacks are inky. Anti-glare is just right. The stand is NOT what is pictured, but it is very sturdy - height/tilt/swivel with ease. YES, the button controls suck... yes, it should have come with a built-in KVM, but it works great. I am using it on my Mac mini via the Thunderbolt port/USB-C and having zero issues. This screen is actually FAR better than the 2017 iMac screen I just replaced with it. ... show more

  • Auto HDR doesn't work. Adaptive dimming is also a global setting.
Auto HDR doesn't work properly on this monitor and is the same as the 'Acer x32FP' monitor (which the latest firmware update addressed). Also, "Adaptive Dimming" needs to be separated for HDR and SDR usage. It is currently a global setting which is unacceptable. Using dark mode in windows/apps will cause white text on a dark background to dim SIGNIFICANTLY. I keep adaptive dimming OFF for regular desktop usage due to this. Currently, if I want to enable HDR, I would need to put both windows and the monitor into HDR mode manually and then turn on adaptive dimming. After I'm done, I would need to turn it all off manually again! I understand that this monitor is new but it shares the same problems as the 'Acer x32FP' monitor (which the latest firmware updates have addressed). HOWEVER, adaptive dimming not being a separate setting for HDR and SDR is still a concern that has not been addressed on the 'Acer x32FP' monitor. There are currently no firmware updates out for this 'Acer XV275K P3' monitor. I hope to see the same fixes that the 'Acer x32FP' received come out for this monitor too. I also hope to see the adaptive dimming setting issue addressed. It was not yet addressed on the 'Acer x32FP' which concerns me on whether or not it will be addressed on THIS monitor. ... show more

  • XV275K P3 UHD 27” MiniLED 160hz Monitor Review
Here is my XV275K 27" 4K MiniLED Review: Pros and Cons: The Good, The Acer has very good quality materials, it’s like a tank, feels to the touch like a brick of concrete and it’s heavy base is sturdy and has no wooble, The Acer XV275K P3, ACER Nitro XV5 Series MiniLED is simply the best HDR I have ever experience, it’s just beautiful and well implemented with low latency, not even an OLED can have this level of HDR picture, with such a high brightness and very dark black levels, (this panel have darker blacks than any VA panels as well, and not the slow and smeary black transition of VA panels as this is an Fast IPS) OSD: clean, with good resolution, well distributed It’s super bright, (looking at sun with such a low contrast is an experience) Semi glossy antireflective film, better for this PPI. Similar to what LG uses. The Not So Good, Cons are minor but need to be addressed in firmware updates: No ALLM PS5 compatibility (yet) there is super sharpness bug (its turns on by default and when enabled it turns off Runs hot in HDR 1000 (I guess that’s the norm) Doesn’t have joystick for menu navigation, it uses 5 buttons for menu, but I got to say the buttons are very good quality and feel Rear monitor wall lights are very dim, (just for display but not good enough for wall ambiance light) Only accept Vesa 70×70 mount, as it have a rounded slot for the VESA moun, I can not fit my squaed 100x100 VESA arm mount, unless I get some longer screws Needs update to include “user“ overdrive: 1 to 100, like the Cooler Master GP27U Acer has higher input lag in SDR compared to Cooler Master (Same Panel) White levels are clipped in SDR. (A bit overexposed in the whites) Comparison; ACER XV275K P3 vs Cooler Master GP27U: The Cooler Master is a very good MiniLED monitor and most likely uses the same AOU Panel so it was a very good competitor but the ACER is just better in almost all categories ACER has Better HDR, Acer gets way brighter. (Acer is using current firmware 1.0 and Cooler master the latest current update as jun 2023, can’t confirm version number as I returned it) ACER has faster input Lag HDR compared to Cooler Master ACER has way better materials and manufacturing and design ACER has Correct Gamma 2.2 (gp27u at 2.2 is incorrectly lighter) Cooler Master antireflective coat has more matte finish , which I dislike for this PPI and contrast. Acer is a bit glossier. Too bad it’s not fully glossy. But the Cooler master is better in these 2 aspects: the Acer has higher input lag in SDR compared to Cooler Master, cooler master has been my fastest input lag/response time with user adjustable overdrive. Kudos to Cooler master, hopefully Acer will address the input SDR latency in upcoming firmware patches. the cooler Master has 0-100 user adjustable overdrive setting. That I really miss in the Acer for SDR, on the other hand ACER doesn’t allow user to adjust the overdrive settings when HDR/FreeSync is enabled. But it’s well implemented and fast Not clipped whites, current the ACER is Clipping whites in the SDR mode. XV275K P3, ACER Nitro XV5 Series MiniLED 160hz. The Best 4K Monitor: Acer has naturally followed the technology of Miniled with the XV275K P3, ACER Nitro XV5 Series MiniLED , According to the parameters released by Apple on the iPad Pro, Miniled has the advantage of being able to achieve ultra-high contrast, higher peak brightness, and support P3 wide color gamut. While It has only 576 dimming zones it’s more than enough for beautiful image and fast response, while the Innocen and REDMAGIC 4K has over 1000+ zones, The innocn and Redmagic 4k models are very bad at handling 60hz. (So it's bad for consoles) Its latency is bad at 60hz, on the other hand the Acer, Cooler master and KTC are excellent in input lag for consoles. Also the Innocn is a small brand and doesn't release fixing updates for their products often. So Innocent is a not good option for everyone. Back to the review, to put it simply, MiniLED use Full Array Local Diming (FALD) to partition the brightness In the panel so different parts of the display can lower and higher the brightness dependían what image is displayed over that partition, It improves the black contrast that traditional LEDs are not good at, this makes the picture more exquisite with the best of both worlds (super height brighter areas and super dark black areas) it looks like if there where an OLED with 1200nits brightness with a bit of bloomig for the usage of FALD. The foundation of MiniLED display technology is LCD technology, on which it is equipped with an LED backlight module. Acer recently launched a flagship Miniled display XV275K P3, and the configuration of this display really lives up to the name of the flagship. Let's take a look at the highlights of the XV275K P3: 1, 3840x2160 UHD 4K resolution 2. Mini-LED IPS panel 3. 160Hz native refresh rate 4. 1Ms fast response time 5. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro Synchronization Technology 6. DisplayHDR 1000 Certified technology (this panel can reach up to 1200nit brightness) 7. 90W USB 3.1, Type-C interface, HDMI 2.1 interface Unboxing & First Impressions: In addition to the product manual and warranty card, the Acer XV275K P3 comes with a triangular display bracket, original power supply and power cord, as well as HDMI cable and DP cable, with a full range of accessories. As we all know, the triangular bracket is the most stable design. The Acer XV275K P3 bracket supports fast installation like a display, which is very convenient and fast. Turn the lock at the bottom, put the bracket on, and finally align the bracket at the back of the display to complete the installation. Of course, if you can also choose the wall-mounted mode, hang the Acer XV275K P3 in a suitable position, which is more comfortable when playing games. There is only Acer's logo on the front. On the back, in addition to a bracket installation hole and Acer's logo, there is also a curved RGB color light strip, which fills the e-sports atmosphere. At the bottom of the right side of Acer XV275K P3 is 5 OSD physical buttons. At the bottom of the back, there are 3.5mm audio interfaces, 2 HDMI 2.1 f(ull bandwidth) , 1 DP interface, 1 Type-C interface, 2 USB-A interfaces, 1 Type-B interface, and 1 DC power interface. The input interface can meet different users. And Acer also comes with an additional cable cover shell to make the back of the monitor look more clean If you want to achieve a more immersive game experience, the narrow bezels design of Acer XV275K P3 can realize multi-screen setup. Imagine how cool it is to play the game with three Acer XV275K P3s! In addition, the Acer XV275K P3 bracket also supports 0-150mm lifting adjustment, ±25° horizontal rotation, -25°-+25° pitch angle adjustment, and 90° vertical angle rotation. Acer XV275K P3 has a lot of adjustable angles. If you are tired of playing games, adjust the angle of the display to make it more comfortable to play. Although the angle adjustment is very flexible, the support of Acer XV275K P3 is still the most stable. It is not difficult or difficult for me to adjust when I actually use it. In order to experience the game charm of Acer XV275K P3, I also specially took out my PS5 and tried what kind of amazing feeling the PS5 will bring me with Acer XV275K P3. 4K super amazing vision, AAA-level picture quality enjoyment The picture quality display of Acer XV275K P3 is really amazing. I played 5 different game masterpieces on PS5, which surprised me, Battlefield 5, Sniper Elite 5, Spider-Man Miles Morales, Trackmania and Sackboy Thanks to 4K resolution and full array backlight Mini-Led technology, the 576 area backlight is dynamically controlled, and the advantages of Mini-Led are reflected. Local dimming work in SDR as well. PC Performance: I linked the HDMI 2.1 interface to my the computer, which achieves the native refresh rate of up to 144Hz. In fact, the 144Hz refresh rate and the 160Hz refresh rate are actually difficult to distinguish with the human eye, but intuitive The feeling is very smooth. For example, if you are tired of playing games and text office every day, the 4K resolution allows you to clearly see the edited text content. I prefer the three functions of Acer XV275K P3, which are no flash screen, low-key light and low brightness, ComfyView anti-glare, and reduced reflection technology. The advantage of not flashing the screen is that when I work in my daily life, the overall brightness of the screen is very uniform, and it is more eye-protective when playing games. When the light is low-key and the brightness is low, the screen brightness will be automatically adjusted to make the display feel softer. ComfyView anti-glare and low-reflective technology makes me free from glare interference when playing games, and I am more immersed in playing games. At the same time, I don't have to worry about a large piece of bright white in the camera when shooting, and post-processing is also troublesome. What I didn't expect is that Acer also takes into account the needs of professional editors. While adopting IPS panel backlight technology, it also has 99% Adobe RGB color gamut. The game image is highly restored to 178° ultra-wide viewing angle, reducing the game deviation caused by the viewing angle. Although Acer XV275K P3 positioning is an e-sports flagship game display, the color depth is 8bit, 1.07B color number, 2000000:1 contrast ratio, and Delta E≤2. You should know that the smaller the value, the higher the score, the more accurate the display color. Acer XV275K P3 supports HDR technology and is also an e-sports display certified by the DisplayHDR 1000 industry standard in the industry. Therefore, it is not only suitable for playing games, but also more rich in picture content and color of the game, but also very suitable for retouching and editing. Frequency is very suitable for e-sports enthusiasts, video animation producers, designers, photographers and other groups. Next, I will use the Datacolor red spider color calibration instrument to calibrate. Judging from the final test results, the color accuracy of Acer XV275K P3 is really good, so I will cut it later. There is no need to replace the special retouching display for video collection and retouching. This also benefits from the AMD FreeSync Premium Pro synchronization technology of Acer XV275K P3. The power of this technology allows the display and GPU picture to be refreshed and synchronized in real time. The stronger the GPU, the smoother the display. . this ACER monitor live up to the name of the flagship, integrating e-sports technology. Acer XV275K P3 is the most amazing e-sports game display I have experienced so far. The high-definition resolution of 4K is clear and sharp, and the IPS panel has a very wide viewing angle, and the rich interface and multi-angle bracket adjustment give me more choices, Mini-LED and HDR display technology makes the display better. As an e-sports display, it has 99% Adobe RGB color gamut, 8Bit color depth + FRC, Delta E≤2, which makes it more in the field of professional design and retouching, making game enthusiasts and photography enthusiasts flock to it, and professional games Field, 160Hz high refresh rate, 1ms fast response, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro synchronization technology ensures that the whole game process is very smooth, completely in the name of the flagship display. I can recommend it with my eyes closed, waiting for future patches to fix the issues though ... show more
