I have an impingement in my shoulder and has been in pain for the last 8 months. 2x weekly PT and the pain is less, but still not gone. I used this first time this week for a Karate class and it works great. It helped with my range of motion and I felt less pain throughout the class. My mistake was I left it on for close to 24 hours and when I pulled it off, it ripped off my skin. Ouch! You can see the shape of the skin gone where it was the base of the "T". I was always a little skeptical about kinesiology tape until I tried it. When you have someone that knows how to apply it, it works great and as advertised. The beauty of this product is that you don't have to be a taping expert to apply this. My 14-year old son has helped me put this on. You can evn put this on solo. I roll about 4 times a week (BJJ). I apply this tape right before I have back-to-back classes. My shoulder pain has been chronic but this alleviates enough pressure where it even helps me sleep at night.     • It would be great if not for it's fatal flaws...
TLDR: These are a great concept. But cause skin irritation(rash, blisters, sores) once removed. I thought I had found the solution to my shoulder pain (bursitis related). The first use I was having a pretty bad flare up and wanted to see if the patch would relieve the discomfort I was having. Right after the first application I could really tell it was making a difference for me. I went to work that evening and was able to preform all of the movements necessary to the job. I really thought I had found something that would be a long term solution. I decided to sleep in the patch and then remove in the morning (total time with patch on 11 hours). I woke up and my shoulder felt pretty good. I attempted to start peeling off the patch while still laying in bed. As I started to get the corner up I had some intense pain. My upper arm is not harry. But if felt like the patch was ripping all of the small hairs right out at the root. I got about half of the patch removed (the top wider part was removed and all I had remaining was the thin bottom portion). This is when as I started pulling I noticed it was pulling small patches of my skin off. This was really painful and with about an inch of the patch remining I just ripped it off. This caused my skin to bubble and blister in that spot. Along with the blister I had a rash the exact shape of the patch. I do not have sensitive skin and have not had any issues in the past with other adhesives or other K-tape type items. So this was disconcerting. I discontinued use. About 4 months later I was having a minor flare up and thought I would try the patch again. But this time taking care to apply right before work and removed immediately after. The patch was on for 5 hours. I had a similar reaction to the second patch. After removing it there was a bright red rash that was the perfect shape of the patch. I really wanted to like this item as it is easy to put on by myself, and is not clunky like a large brace. However, I will not be able to continue using the remaining supply that I have as it hurts my skin to do so. If the manufacturer had taken some time to test this product prior to going to market I think they would have gained a lot of repeat customers, me being one of them. Maybe someday they will come up with something that does not cause blistering, rashes, and discomfort. ... show more

    • It DOES work!
It worked for me as the Rotor Cuff is wearing out, and the pain is there and needing attention! Wore the first one into the swimming pool and it lasted another day before I took it off. Only fault I found is that its ALMOST impossible to put on by yourself.

This is an awesome and useful pain reliever. It’s super comfortable to wear. I took showers and went to the gym everyday while wearing it and it lasted on like 3 days. The only problem I have is that it leaves marks on your shoulder. It’s weird because I’m not sure if it’s a rash or just something the glue leaves. Other than that I give it 5 stars. For the money, they are not that great. There are only 3 pieces in a box. If each piece were $1 each, I'd say buy them. The performance is just OK. Kinesiology tape works very well instead.
