I ordered this battery to replace the original 12V battery in our 2019 BOLT. The old battery was still working OK, but I didn't want to take a chance on it dying unexpectedly. This battery fits exactly like the original, and will help our BOLT continue to provide reliable service. The first battery we got was damaged during shipping. I contacted the vendor (IPC-STORE) through the Amazon messaging system and explained the problem. They immediately responded and said they would send a replacement. The VERY NEXT DAY a fresh identical battery was delivered in perfect condition. I consider this OUTSTANDING customer support and service. 1 week after install - Battery was in great shape and the install mostly easy. Make sure to have 10mm and 13mm sockets and a 10” extension to reach the bottom bracket support.

    • 2019 Bolt EV installation not quite like shown in several YouTube videos
The battery brackets in my 2019 Bolt EV differ from those shown in several YouTube videos. Took photos before removing the old battery. Needed to use a 10mm socket for the battery cables and a 13mm socket on an extension for the battery brackets. I combined advice I found on various owner websites and followed in this sequence in order to avoid issues when the new battery is connected: disconnected the car from the EVSE, opened the hood, closed the driver door, moved the key fob well away from the car and waited 15 minutes for all electronics to go to quiescent state before disconnecting the old battery. After installation and connection of the new battery I found that the clock and the target charge level both needed to be reset. I did not experience any other issues with the onboard electronics. ... show more

    • Reasonably priced small AGM battery
Perfect fit for Hyundai Kona EV. So far works flawlessly. The Kona BMS charges it at ~14.65V, which is a good charging voltage for AGM. AGM batteries are more tolerant of (deeper) discharge then flooded batteries, and not subject to electrolyte stratification. This battery has a 3 year warranty, so it seems like a good fit for the Kona. Be mindful, that this battery is not on any list ( OEM or 3rd party) that would claim this was a fit for the Kona EV, it just fits dimensionally. In the USA, Hyundai uses a cheap flooded led battery now as eplacement. The original "Rocket" brand battery was at least MF (maintenance free). Based on what they use in other countries, for example the Century/Yuasa batteries, AGM seems like a good fit for this app, even if not necessarily officially "supported". ... show more
