Replaced a faulty refurb. Nice to go back to OEM. Came filled with oil, but may require balancing depending on system requirements. Went in much easier than refurb units, not sure why. Electrical connections were also noticeably easier. Working like it’s supposed to, as expected.

Replace on a 2015 Silverado 1500. Works great so far, 4 months and counting. However, is does not come with seals.

    • Belt install tip!! Would have saved me a wasted hour and a trip to the auto parts store.
So far so good, it's nice to have AC again. A bit of a pain to change but if you have long arms, a step stool, and some ratchet extensions and swivels it's not too terrible. Some of the work is from up top, some from underneath. The long bolt didn't want to line up for some reason but I finally got it to go. Figured out how to install the belt, it's a pain too. Rented a tool from the auto parts place in town but I couldn't get it to work. Finally installed the belt over and past the crank pulley, put the belt on the compressor pulley and then turned the crank with a ratchet and rolled the belt back on the crank pulley. If you try to put the belt on the crank pulley and then roll it onto the compressor pulley it's too tight. ... show more
