I wanted to put in a permanent door to access our shower panel so I picked this up. The installation was not bad, but the cutting width that is stated is a little off. I measured it out as suggested, using the measurements given and found that it was still a tad tight. I wound up having to trim a little more to get a good snug fit. I also then used some liquid nail to get it to permanently stay. The really nice thing is that this is paintable and did not require I pre sand it. I was able to clean it good with some alcohol and paint it shortly after it dried. I have had it on for over 6 months and the paint is not flaking or chipping.

I bought this to hide a toilet valve in the wall in order to be able to shut off flow to an in-wall toilet tank. The problem I have found with these tanks is that if the internal valve sticks (which is not easy to get to behind the flush panel) there's no way to turn it off. Couple that with a macerating pump and you have non-stop noise along with the waste of water. To remedy that I found this panel and it looks and works great for this purpose. I had to cut some grooves in the frame of the panel in order to mount it over the tank frame (I had tight quarters, you wouldn't need to mount it so close if you had more options.)

The product does what its supposed to do. However; there is no recess etc on the actual swinging door. This makes a screwdriver or other tool necessary to pry it open when you need to get access. Adding this feature would have increased my overall rating. It was a bit pricey for what it is. Depending on what size you buy, some sizes are more standard I suppose and are more affordable. It does the job though.
