I read first 5-6 chapters of "idiots guide to chess" then started playing with the computer. I play at the beginners level called "Fun Levels 1-9". Currently staying within the first level and the first few games I utilized the "hint" button religiously. By using the "hint" feature this enables the computer to teach me. Really is a portable wanted a nicer product that was a little larger and had more room for the chess pieces that were supposed to be magnetic not really a hood magnet
