This guide takes off ab initio. Assembling the horn and mouthpiece. Start out notes. Some basic exercises. The treble key. But then it stops. You would need another guide to progress, e.g. Rubank. It does come with down loadable play along and analysis software, but it's for iOS only.

It was a good introduction for a beginners in Saxophones. I would add the suggestion of explaining how to tune them. In my opinion that’s key to playing any instrument, l find it odd that its not taught. The explanation for using the octave key was in my opinion lacking any substance. I watched a video online for further explanation. This book is for absolute beginners, I believe they missed that mark. ... show more
