It's well-made, and high quality, and comes with a handle that makes it extremely easy to "install". The only down side is that it just doesn't have that much holding power in just sand. It works much better in more substantial soil, especially with some grass roots, etc. But in straight beach sand, it doesn't provide much "hold".

This holds the boat nicely. We’re on a red clay mud in the water so I don’t like stains the bottom of the boat. So I keep it out in the water so the boat floats and attach an anchor on the back. This product, with the supplied handle screws into dirt or beach sand easily and holds the very well. I keep it in it’s supplied pouch in the boat.

I snagged one a while back for my kayak, and let me tell you, it's like the anchor version of a superhero. Rock-Solid Hold, Even in Tricky Spots Forget those flimsy one-trick-pony anchors. This bad boy with its triple-turn spiral digs deep and holds FAST. I've used it in some seriously choppy waters, and my kayak barely budged. No more worries about drifting away while I'm busy catching the big one (or, you know, just chilling and soaking up the sun). Easy Does It (Especially When the Wind Picks Up) The best part? This is a well designed and secure option for mooring smaller boats in sandy or silty shoreline. Overall construction is durable steel and should hold up to repeated use. The auger is welded on to the shaft with quite a few welded seams. The storage bag is cheap, super thin nylon, and easily punctured by the sharp tip. I'm going to have to fashion a protective cover for the sharp tip to prevent damage to the boat or other adjacent items.

I ordered this Stainless Steel Triple Spiral Auger Boat Sand Anchor Kit by Abimars to use as a dog tie out at the beach. It is excellent as a beach dog tie out – keeps our Australian Shepherd from running down the beach and into the surf. It screws into sand fairly easily and stays put in damp / wet sand very well. However, the included pouch to store the sand anchor is shoddy, the anchor went right through the bottom the first attempt to use it. Anchor Storage Bag ¬

I was really impressed with the quality, length, ease of application and sturdiness of this anchor. I had previously purchased a shorter plastic one that was garbage and could not anchor much of anything but this long solid steel anchor does the job. We just recently had a major storm and this keep the post that it was anchored standing. I also appreciate the fact that it came with a turning handle that allowed it to be easily turned into the ground!
