  • Way exceeded my expectations!
Size: 1.25 Gallons Style: Sand Not Included
I have a 48ft x 6ft concrete porch that I discovered had a bad long crack after I removed old carpeting from it. I had no prior experience with fixing concrete before this. I followed YouTube videos and bought a grinder, a concrete cutting wheel called crack chaser (I highly recommend), foam backer-rod, sand and chose Abocrete as the repair filler. I widened the crack to 0.5" and about 1.5" to 2" deep with the grinder and then tucked the foam rod into the crack as deep as possible with popsicle sticks so that the Abocrete epoxy would fill the crack and not leak underneath. Then came time for the Abocrete. I have some tips and lessons learned that hopefully will help others when using Abocrete. The instructions say to mix some of the resin and hardener without sand first and then paint the inside of the crack before mixing in sand and attempting to fill the crack completely. So I mixed the can of resin and hardener in a bucket, and then I painted the inside of the crack. I immediately went to mix in the sand, and to my dismay, the Abocrete was rock hard. After reading lot of factors caused the Abocrete to harden. One factor is the temperature was very hot over 90° F outside which shortened the working time. I also mixed the full amount of resin and hardener in the bucket. Apparently to more you mix together faster it hardens. So you want to mix a small amount at a time. My first batch was wasted since it hardened before I could fill the crack. But the little bit that I did get to paint the inside of the crack with was rock hard and very promising. So I ordered a 2nd batch and filled in the crack a few days later. This time I used a smaller amount and not the entire contents. I also added sand to the mix until it was thick enough to fill the crack like hot peanut butter but still thin enough to seep into every crevice. I could not be happier. The expoy is super hard and self-leveled nearly perfectly. I'm going to sand down an excess, but other than that I feel confident that this is a solid repair. I was worried about the condition of my porch when I saw the crack, but now I can sleep again without worrying about the crack in my porch. Worth every penny, just make sure you read the instructions thoroughly and don't make the mistakes I made which caused it to harden to fast. My second attempt went perfectly. ... show more

  • Please add Bestbond as part of your Stock on Amazon!
Size: 1.25 Gallons Style: Sand Not Included
This is Great for large cracks and chips in concrete! I wish that they would put Bestbond product on Amazon for filling small cracks a lot easier than using Abocrete 2 part mixing and add sand. They do provide a small squeeze bottle (similar to the picnic ketchup and mustard bottles you can buy anywhere) in the Abocrete shipment box but it is very awkward to use and you can't put much sand in the bottle or it wont flow out! Really would like to try the Bestbond product they advertise but don't sell on Amazon. ... show more

  • Not bad to use
Size: 1.25 Quarts Style: Sand Not Included
Mine was missing the sand and it doesn't give very good instructions. I would have added more , but didn't know. But it looks nice and seems to work well.

  • It doesn’t go far for price paid

I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Flows out well. Nice slow cure.
Size: 1.25 Quarts Style: Sand Not Included
Great for flow filling horizontal cracks. When cured binds the area well. Use with other Abatron products to refill large cracks for open areas.

  • This stuff is bulletproof
Size: 1.25 Quarts Style: Sand Not Included
This stuff is amazingly strong and I’m guessing will be a permanent bond, but it’s super liquid - light paint consistency so make sure to seal/damn around your repairs or add sand.

  • Simple to use
Size: 1.25 Quarts Style: Sand Not Included
I had a rather small job in my garage. I believe the previous owners used rock salt around the entrance of the garage. That or the concrete was poured at too cold a temperature. The product mixed easily and the self leveling works well. Filled the gaps and deteriorated portions of the floor. Sanded it and then painted the area. Looks much better and I am sure will hold up for years to come. ... show more

  • Difficult
Size: 1.25 Gallons Style: Sand Not Included
Very hard to work with. Does not level as easily as expected. Does seem to be extremely hard.Big concern tiny air bubbles came up as it set up, requiring some sanding to take down ridges. Not sure what happened followed instructions to the letter
