Because I trusted Amazon I kept this KXD phone way to long as I tried to get it to work, but to no avail. It could have been my fault. I might have missed a step. Nevertheless it shouldn't have been that hard. Even my carrier couldn't figure it out.

I didn't realize you could but a sub $100 phone that actually functions quite well. I have been buying the flagship Samsung phones going back all the way to the first Galaxy phone and then I was a Motorola Droid fanboy before that. My EDC is currently a Fold5 $2000 phone. I was looking for something inexpensive to use when traveling or to use if I had to put my phone in the shop (recently had to have the inner screen protector replaced on my Fold5). Amazing how reliant we are on these things these days. First issue with this phone I had was that I use Verizon. This phone does not work with Verizon, you need a GSM sim, not CDMA. It also cannot use E-Sims which is a bit of a bummer. I had a sample US Mobile sim laying around but I couldn't get it activated so I purchased a Tello sim from Amazon that uses the T Mobile Network. At first I was having an issue where I could make but not receive calls (texts worked fine). After some quick help from the Tello customer service I had it up and working great (it had to do with the APN settings). The touch screen works great, just like Samsung. The video quality is fine for the screen size. It is a little slower than my phone that costs 20x more, but that is to be expected. There were a couple apps I use that I could not use on this phone as well, they would install but would just automatically close. I suspect it is a memory issue. Basic functionality works flawless however and the game I play (Hay Day) worked great. Was able to get Outlook and all the Google apps working great and YouTube works great as well. My son who is way more into electronics and gaming that I am these days was impressed with this phone as well when I told him how much it costs. One thing that really stood out to me and I was so impressed with this manufacturer was that the phone came with glass screen protector (installed perfectly), glass protectors over the camera lenses and a phone case! Imagine that, you not only get a super reasonably priced phone that works great, but you don't have to immediately purchase a $30 case, $20 screen protector and $20 camera lens protectors thus doubling your costs upfront. Another major plus is that you can install an SD Card for additional picture and app storage. I am really a fan of this phone and it would make a great phone if you are looking to save money, for a kid or a backup phone. No brainier purchase. One additional thing, before I got the sim I charged this phone up and it sat on my dresser for 4 days and only lost 10% of it's charge. The battery standby life is amazing. Once I got the sim installed I used it easily for 2 days before I had to put it on the charger. My Fold 5 I have to charge 2-3 times to get through a day of normal use. The phone looks and feels great as well, I like the fingerprint sensor on the side, it is in the exact same place as my Samsung so I am use to it. It has not locked up or frozen on me once either. It is very well made and high quality.

This is a great phone for kids. The phone even comes with a case which is a nice touch. The phone is not as snappy as the high end phones but that is to be expected. For kids it makes a great phone, but I could not see myself using this as my own phone.

Here's a rewritten version with a different organization and structure: I primarily got this as an extra remote for my smart home devices, and it works great for that purpose. It’s not the fastest phone, but it’s also not slow—performance is just what you’d expect for the price. Browsing social media is smooth, and it handles tasks like turning lights and music on and off without any problems. The camera is below average, but for the cost, I can't really complain. While it has the appearance of a flagship phone, it doesn’t perform like one. That said, the included case is a great bonus!

This is an okay phone. Nothing really special about it. It has a fingerprint sensor on the power button instead of the back. The camera is okay, not great. It comes with a case, so that's good. You're able to sync it to another phone to copy your apps onto it. It has some decent qualities. However, the battery life is absolute trash so you can't really enjoy the phone. Also, the screen will light up with any type of movement. It will stay like that until you press the power button. So if you don't notice it for a while, it will just be on and draining the battery. I'm contemplating sending it back. It's a pretty dumb phone.

This phone is a obvious clone of some sort. Nothing wrong with that, in my opinion. Runs on an older android version, but performs well. Comes pre loaded with a bunch of social media apps that need to be disabled unless you're into that. Has an option to "expand ram" in the settings, not sure how that works. Camera quality is ok, not the best. This comes with a light duty case which was unexpected but much appreciated.
