  • Perfect! Comes with a poster too
I love this album and listen to it all the time and now I can listen to it on my record player! Comes with a huge poster I’d put up if I had any room on my walls.

  • A pretty good album, and a solid debut
Here's my take on the album: The Only Difference... 5/5: One of the best songs here, and a great introduction to the album and the band as a whole London Beckoned Songs... 3/5: Pretty good song, but the pre-chorus is a bit too focused on and dragged on Nails for Breakfast... 2/5: This song is definitely the worst on the album. With the overuse-age of autotune, and it trying too hard to blend techno and pop-punk Camisado 4/5: A great song, this is where the album starts to pick back up Time to Dance 5/5: Amazing song, a bit repetitive, but that's just nit-picking Lying is the Most Fun... 4/5: A silly song, but doesn't bring anything new musically and isn't lyrically deep But it's Better if You Do 4/5: Another sightly fun song, but also nicely blends acoustic, horns, and pop-punk. Also, as a plus, it gives a nice ease into the next song I Write Sins, Not Tragedies 5/5: A true masterpiece! Catchy, musically unique, and humorous without coming off as silly I Constantly Thank God for Esteban 5/5: Amazing, takes what was musically started on But it's Better if You Do and improves it There's a Good Reason... 4/5: Good song, but tries too hard to incorporate what was the horns and acoustic. Lyrically though, the song is very deep Build God, Then We'll Talk 5/5: Amazing song, takes the catchyness of I Write Sins, the structure of But it's Better, and adds strings. Truly a worthy song, and a great send off Personally, this album wouldn't be very good if the tracks didn't go together so seamlessly after Nails for Breakfast. I don't know why, but it just works, and is definitely one of the best debuts i've heard. ... show more

  • A Fever You...
won't want to get rid of. First off to be honest...it doesnt matter to me what type of music Panic! is labelled as. It matters if you enjoy the music and have fun while listening. I happen to enjoy them plain and simple, none of the they are trying to be "punk" or whatever that's just lame. If you dont feel their music that's cool but posting negative reviews when you havent even listened to them is bullcrap or the they are just a Fall Out Boy clone...whatever. I don't see them out there doing your thing in front of people (many critics)...please stop hating. Now about the review of this cd. I find myself enjoying the cd for many reasons. The songs are catchy and enjoyable to listen to and the overall feel of the cd is varied from a party type vibe on some tracks to a serious more subdued vibe on other tracks. Everything in between there isn't even a track on the cd that i didnt find myself humming or tapping my feet too all the while just generally having a good time enjoying all that's happening. Some songs of note on "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" include: "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" "But It's Better If You Do" "Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have, Without Taking Off Her Clothes (* one of my favs) "Time To Dance" "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage" "There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey.." "Nails For Breakfast, Tacks For Snacks" I also think it's pretty cool how they title the different songs each having some different meaning. All the while having a sense of humor and rhyme to them as well. Easily one of the better cds that i picked up and is only the beginning for a band that knows how to go out there and have fun while making music. That's what i enjoy most about PATD looking forward to the next CD by them. ... show more

  • Brilliant debut album
So I am in love with this album. I remember hearing I Write Sins, Not Tragedies when it was first released and really liking it. So I bought the CD, and for whatever reason didn't bother listening to the other songs. Anyway, I recently had a bit of a Panic! renaissance, and only now am I finally realizing how incredibly brilliant and different-from-anything-I've-ever-heard these songs are. I truly cannot praise Ryan Ross enough. He was, what? 18, 19? When he wrote the lyrics. I can't even imagine being able to write that way, at that age. A few songs are about his alcoholic father, some are about dealing with the pains of growing up, and others just want you to get up and shake what ya got! I only wish he had sung (sang?) some of the background vocals like he does on the Live in Denver and Live in Chicago recordings. His voice is lovely, and contrasts brilliantly with Brendon Urie's powerhouse vocals. My current favourites are Camisado, Nails For Breakfast,Tacks for Snacks and There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought Of It Yet. I'm a bit older than their average fan, but I'm also a musician and can definitely hear and appreciate the underlying musical complexity in their songs. This will be in heavy rotation on my iPod for a good long while. ... show more

  • Awesome for dancing
This came on time and it sounds fine. And the music is even better. With the cabaret-rock vibe, it makes me want to dance. From Nail for Breakfast, to the radio hit I Write Sins Not Tragedies, to the barrier-breaking I Constantly Thank God for Esteban, to the personal tear-jerker Build God, Then We'll Talk, this album is defiantly one of Panic!'s best. ... show more
