I got this pair of long leather heat resistant gloves by Ozero in gray color (not the black/gray). (I took close up photos so you can see the quality of the construction and get a better view of the interior of the gloves. Let me know if you find them helpful.) The gloves are 16” from the tip of the middle finger to the base of the glove. It’s made of split cowhide leather. The inside is made of 100% insulate cotton which feels somewhat like a fleece. It has leather loops which is nice for hanging up, however, it would be nice if it were reinforced more. There’s a fair amount of flex to the glove considering how thick it is. It’s constructed in a more 3 dimensional form rather than flat which means that you don’t end up with hand muscle fatigue from having to fight against the leather as you’re trying to hold onto pieces of wood for extended periods of time. (It naturally lays with the thumb in the forward position across the palm.) It’s a bit large for me as you can see in the photos. It’s definitely sized to fit a man but as a woman, I’m able to wear it and function with it. I was able to pull a metal pan out of a 500 degree oven and place the pan on top of the stove without feeling a burning sensation. However, if I held onto the pan for more than 2 seconds, I would start to feel the burn. You can quickly move around burning logs without any burning also and I’m sure they would work well for the grill. ... show more

I actually use these Gloves while mowing my Lawn on my Lawn Tractor because we have multiple Pine Trees, including Blue Spruces with nasty needles. These Gloves do a great job at protecting my hands and forearms when mowing around or under these Trees! Seem really well made and look great. I bought these gloves for protection handling a microwave kiln during glass-art work, which I and my 9-year old son are new to. The instructional materials we looked at stressed that we should wear heat-resistant gloves, ideally ones that covered a good portion of the arm. Since we are both new to this, handling something that gets up to glass-melting temperatures was pretty daunting, and I looked at a lot of alternative gloves and glove materials. The range of choices was confusing, as there are different materials and different uses for heat-resistant gloves, but I chose these on the basis of the specs and the customer reviews. I am totally happy with them. They provide complete protection. We are no longer intimidated by the glass fusing process. At one point (long story, not relevant) I did actually touch the glass for a moment shortly after taking the kiln out of the microwave (you're supposed to wait an hour or so). The glass was still soft and I heard a bit of a sizzle when I touched it with the glove but felt nothing at all, and if there is any residual mark on the glove it's hard to detect. I'm no expert on any of this, but the gloves meet my expectations and I'm very happy with them. ... show more
