(If you’ve ever attempted to scoop out wet clay soil and ended up with a face full of dirt and a broken spade, you understand why.) The red part of the gloves is stretchy. The black part is rubbery. Both my husband and I were able to put on the gloves comfortably so they kind of stretch to fit the wearer. (Over time, they may stay stretched and become my husband’s.) The spray bottle is like any you’d find for 99c but the threads do work together for a solid seal. On a practical level, the tools are too long and heavy to all hang out in the pockets. However, I can see having the tools you aren’t actively using inside the gardening bag and the 1-2 you are using at the moment hanging out in the pockets. I absolutely love this 9 piece gardening tool set. As someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, keeping my home looking nice, and working on little projects around the yard, this set has been incredibly useful and much higher quality than I expected. The stainless steel tools feel sturdy and durable right away. They are not flimsy or cheaply made like some gardening kits I have tried before. This is not only a great all in one start gardening set, but it’s actually of great quality. You get 6 tools, a pair of gloves, squirt bottle and a canvas bag. The handles on each tool are great for handling and gripping. I was initially not a big fan of the orange accents but understand that the color is for a good purpose and that you can easily spot the tools if you misplace them in potting soil, mulch, or anywhere in the yard. This comes in handy as a safety feature especially for the hand rake or the other hand tools that are sharp. They all fit nicely into the nylon bag that is thick and sturdy. It is pretty deep to keep other tools and supplies together for better organization and transport to your gardening job site. There are elastic bands to ensure your tools stay in the pockets securely - a nice detail element.

Overall, this is a really nice gardening set for the price. The tools themselves actually exceeded my expectations. They feel sturdy, comfortable to hold, and much more durable than a lot of the flimsy gardening kits you find online. I also like that the set comes with so many useful pieces. You get a wider trowel, narrow transplanter, cultivator, hand rake, weeder, pruning shears, spray bottle, gloves, and a large tote bag with multiple storage pockets, which makes it feel like a pretty complete starter kit for gardening or basic yard work. The tote itself is also a nice size and keeps everything organized well. My only real complaint is the elastic cords on the bag that are supposed to help hold the tools in place. Unfortunately, both elastic strings broke almost immediately during setup/use. The bag is still usable and the tools still fit inside, but it definitely loses some functionality without those straps intact. If the bag construction was a little more durable, this would easily be a 5-star set for me. Still, for the overall price and quality of the actual tools included, I think it’s a solid value.
