Excellent little video camera for the price!! Four stars because the final image (even with an overexposure setting) tends to be under-exposed (about 1.5 stops) and produce a bit more contrast than some would probably prefer. But it is light, easy to use and produces good resolution, especially with extra lighting indoors. I found the 4k setting to be adequate and seamless in editing with semi-pro 4k cameras.

Very disappointed for the application I wanted to use and probably give it to my young grand kits to play with. It might be good if you want to use it on tripod as a video camera for making opinion shots for vlogging, and remote control is really handy there, but I bought it to take it for a trip and save video clips in 4k and above, but not a good fit for that purpose. The video is shaky because it does not have an image stabilizer. Lens is fixed with no zooming capability. I knew that but I thought with high resolution image sensor, maybe digital zoom is acceptable, but it is very limited for my application. It is easy to set up and use and has good image resolution but not good at all for my trip. I had several Sony camcorders in the past and started using my smart phone instead of camcorder, but this camcorder is not comparable to any high quality camcorders. I saw the warning about often returned item when I ordered it and thought it might be ok for me, but now realized it is not suitable for my trip.
