Features

  • RUIPRO Groundbreaking 8K HDMI Cable: A full fiber optic cable 2.1 with detachable connector ends which perfectly supports the latest HDMI 2.1 specifications, including 48Gbps bandwidth, Dynamic HDR, eARC and uncompressed 8K@60 and 4K@120
  • Detachable Connectors: Detachable Fiber Optic HDMI cables eliminate the hassle and expense of replacing an entire cable if there is an error in the installation process, a connector failure, or the connector ends get damaged. This is especially important if the cable is installed in-wall. It's also easier to upgrade with replaceable heads, future-proofed for HDMI 2.2
  • Full Fiber Optic Armored HDMI Cable: Composed of full optical fibers, it provides enhanced anti-interference and compatibility. The full fiber optic HDMI cable can effectively prevent electromagnetic interference that could impact device performance. The special stainless steel armored structure of the cable ensures bend flexibility, tensile strength, compression resistance, and tangle-free for durability and reliable performance
  • Easy Installation: The fiber optic HDMI cable itself is thin, flexible, and soft allowing for easier installation, and this is particularly true if a conduit is used for the cable pathway. Just thread the cable, with a pull string if possible, and attach the ends when ready
  • Applications: Detachable fiber optic HDMI 2.1 cables are ideal for home theaters, conference rooms, engineering installations, medical fields, and other areas of use that would require flexible wiring and zero electromagnetic interference

A detachable full fiber optic HDMI cable is a high-performance HDMI cable designed with detachable connectors, allowing flexibility during installation. It uses fiber optic technology to transmit audio and video signals over long distances. Which end needs USB power, and what kind of USB cable is used? The Display end must be powered. The Source end usually does not need USB power, and leaving it unpowered is often more stable. The auxiliary power cable uses a standard USB-A to Micro-USB connection. Is this a special custom fiber optic cable or is it a standard MPO cable? RUIPRO MPO cable: 7 core Type A polarity. You can choose to use MPO cables from other brands (specifically, the 12-core, Type A polarity, OM3/OM4 grade model) as an alternative to RUIPRO brand MPO cables. How to enable the CEC function? CEC works only when both the Source end and Display end are powered, either by the connected devices or by external USB power. If a device does not provide power in standby, use a USB-A port that stays powered. Is this a real fiber optic cable? Will the signal degrade over long distances? Yes, this is a full fiber optic HDMI cable with no copper conductors. It supports stable, lossless signal transmission up to 300 meters, and offers excellent anti-EMI performance, even in complex environments.

  • Finally fixed my 100 ft HDMI blackout problem
Color: 8K GEN4AK Armored Size: 100FT
I bought this for a difficult 100 ft HDMI run from my equipment area to an 83" Sony OLED, going through a Denon AVR-X3800H. I had been fighting random HDMI blackouts/handshake issues for a long time. My previous setup worked just well enough to be frustrating — sometimes it would run for 10–20 minutes, sometimes only a few minutes, and then I’d get a short black screen. I tried many different settings on both the Sony TV and the Denon receiver: CEC, ARC/eARC, enhanced HDMI modes, different HDMI inputs, and other combinations. I could improve things a little, but I could never get it fully stable. I also tried an HDMI-over-Cat7 extender before this. That worked for basic video, but the handshake was slow and the picture never felt quite like a clean native HDMI connection. This RUIPRO cable fixed it immediately. I tested it on the floor first before putting it in the wall. It ran clean all day and evening with the TV and Denon back on their normal/default settings. No flickers, no blackouts, no long wait for the picture to stabilize. The detachable ends were a big deal for me. I still had to work to get it into the wall, but the smaller cable end made the install possible without completely tearing things apart. I powered the display/TV end with USB as instructed. Bottom line: if you are trying to do a long HDMI run to a good TV/projector and you’re getting random blackouts or handshake problems, this cable is worth trying. For my Sony OLED + Denon AVR setup, it solved a problem that multiple other approaches did not. ... show more

  • Actually works at 4k 120hz. Little to no flickering. Tried about a dozen cables.
Color: 8K GEN4AK Armored Size: 33FT
I tried about a dozen long HDMI cables to connect from my PC to my 4k TV. This is the best working cable I have tried. For me it does still flicker every once in a while, but seems to only happen when a certain program or action causes it. It's also great that the HDMI plugs are swappable and that the cable is so thin and flexible - making it easy to route. It is expensive but worth it. There are other "fiber optic" cables that are more inexpensive here on Amazon, but I tried those as well and they are junk. The only other very long HDMI cables I have tried that work well enough and are also inexpensive are the non-fiber cables that have a much thicker gauge - not sure if I can say exact brands here in the review but they are from the more reputable and "mainstream" brands. However those cables did still flicker intermittently for me, but not often enough to make them completely unworthy of using. All of this is only if you need more than a 10 ft cable. 10 ft and below and you will likely be fine with a cheaper cable. ... show more

  • Great Solution for PC Gaming in the Living Room.
Color: 8K GEN4AK Armored Size: 65FT
I was looking for a way to stream games from my PC in the office to the TV in the living room, and every source I saw left me with two conclusions: 1) Streaming games from PC to TV is impractical over Wi-Fi. 2) A long HDMI cable is your best bet, but signal loss makes connections over 30 ft unreliable (my computer is about 40 ft from my TV). I finally came across a forum post that recommended this item and, although the price is a little steep, I picked up the 65 ft size, and I don't regret the purchase! Running fiber optic cable was a little intimidating because it can be a bit fragile. You don't want to flex it too much or bend it too sharply. But, with the help of some inexpensive plastic cable conduit I had lying around, I was able to run the cable across my apartment without any trouble, making a few 90-degree bends where necessary. The signal is stable. The picture and colors are clear. There is practically no lag. Everything looks just the same as it would on my PC monitors (better, even, since I don't have high-end gaming monitors). Frankly, until the Steam Machine comes out (and the the inevitable stock-outs and scalping stop), I think this is the next best thing! One thing to note, though: The included HDMI converters at either end are NOT bi-directional. One needs to be plugged into the source, and the other into the display (and the one at the display needs to be powered via USB), otherwise it simply won't work. I read the directions and still managed to forget by the time I was done running the cable and hooking it up. I was at a loss when the picture failed to come through. But it worked great once I remembered and swapped the adapters. Happy gaming! ... show more

  • Works great for a month, then dies.
Color: 8K GEN4AK Armored Size: 25FT
I really wanted to like this item; customer service is great, it’s easy to fish behind the walls of the house, and it works really well (for about a month). After a month, it stops working; have to unplug it and remove power, then it works for about a week, and gets progressively worse. Contacted customer service, and they sent me a new one almost immediately. But I ran into the same problem; worked for a month, then started dying. ... show more

  • High speed; Great Color
Color: 8K GEN4AK Armored Size: 20FT
Great cable! I tested it before I ran it behind the wall. The picture quality was terrific. I watched snippets of Lord of The Rings and The Dark Knight in 4k. The black levels and color were exceptional. Maybe it's in my head but it did seem a bit more rich. The eARC works great as well. I have it powered at the TV so the TV remote controls the volume to my AVR. The cable was easy to run behind the wall. Overall it's really flexible and seems durable. The ends stick out a bit and I couldn't place my AV rack as far back as I would like because it sticks out. The concept of switching the heads is terrific for future proofing. If I could give it 4.5 I would. If th connectors were a tad more flexible then I would give it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Fantastic Cable, First Class customer service.
Color: 8K GEN4AK Armored Size: 20FT
I wanted to upgrade the video and audio setup in my home, so I decided to try these cables. The price was a bit high, but the reviews were good, so I went for it. The product arrived on time and in good condition. It took me a few days to finally get to the point where I could install the cables, but when I did, I had some issues with the image not showing. I then contacted the support department to inform them of the problem, and they got back to me immediately. They asked the right technical questions to understand the problem and find a solution. Within two days, I received a brand new cable to replace the defective one. Once I connected the cable... Wow! What a beautiful image! Great quality! I needed the 20-foot cable for my setup, but I think this cable is superb at any length. I highly recommend it! Thank you, RUIPRO. ... show more

  • Cables work well
Color: 8K GEN4AK Armored Size: 33FT
This is day one, and my display is snappier. The sound even works over the fiber connection. It was very easy to set up. Now I just need to run them in the wall. My PCs sit on a table behind my desk on sliding disks. This way I can spin my chair around to clean and work at will. Also, this fiber cable takes stress off the HDMI ports. So why did I give only 4 Stars??? The price. The cable cost $15, and the HDMI connectors cost $100 by themselves. If one of the HDMI connectors goes out, you must buy a whole new cable and connectors. Micro USB for something that costs so much. I hate these connectors; they always go bad on me. My basic setup: Two LG C3 55-inch sitting 14 feet away (due to Old age eye strain. Long cell phone sections are a no-no for me). One MSI 27-inch 1440P (some things you need in your face for a short while). One Daily driver PC, older AMD One High PC i9-14900K RTX 4090 Gaming / Simulator PC Lots of flight gear. P.S. Now Day three. The 10-meter (33-foot) cables are now in the wall and working very well as full HDMI cables on my smaller daily driver PC. I hook up the USB power cable to both the Display and the Source connectors. I am now not so stressed out about the ports on my RTX 3080 and OLED TV. Now I need to order 3 more. Two 45-foot for the RTX 4090 PC and one 65-foot for my media room projector and AVR. Why has my AVR doubled in price, and as we all know, the RTX 4090 is in some places 2.5 times more expensive than what I paid for it. ... show more
