  • Really Nice Set of Screwdrivers
Really nice set of magnetic screwdrivers. I give the set 5 stars but the case 4 stars. Handles are great. Good texture for gripping even when your hands are covered in grease and oil. I really like the color (orange with black). The ends are engraved/painted with the screwdriver size for easy identification. I really like this because I hate when they're only engraved with small letters on the screwdriver shaft. Has almost every size you'll ever need in automotive. I really like the nut drivers (both SAE and metric but especially the metric because it includes the really small sizes I use a lot when doing interior work like on the dash of a vehicle. I'll use them with an electric screwdriver though because time is money, especially on flat rate. The screwdrivers are magnetic so that is definitely a pro (see pic). Last thing you want is to drop a screw somewhere you can reach and retrieve. They include a magnetizer so that a plus for when the screwdrivers tips lose their magnetism over time. The only thing I didn't like was the case, more specifically the inside. The case is nice but the screwdrivers will loosen from their holders easily when moving, especially the magnetizer. It will not stay in its holder at all and you will struggle to get it to close. They need to make the case screwdriver holders tighter so this isn't an issue anymore. Other than that, happy with this set. Recommend for those that do a lot over the weekends. ... show more

  • Excellent quality set, well made.
This set is really great, but you have to wonder about the manufacturer to start with. It came complete discombobulated, please see the picture. Now normally I wouldn't say anything, but this has to be a manufacture problem. There's no way this could have happened in shipping. These peices were torn from their footings and thrown around the compartment. In fact, in trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together again, I was sure that I was missing one piece. Only to find it under one screwdriver by hearing a rattling sound. The screwdrivers themselves are of great quality. Each is magnetized and they are really strongly so magnetized. This is perfect for holding screws. Some of the Torx, and only some, have turnable bases to make screwing more easy. I wish they had installed this feature on all of the screwdrivers, but it's nice for what they have. Each piece is perfectly labeled, which shows a committment to high quality. Despite the complete mess of the thing being a wreck when I received it, the items themselves are high quality and deserve a full 5 stars. ************** VINE Notice ************************ Even though I have been given this product as part of a VINE review by Amazon, my reviews are honest and not influenced by receiving the product. Quite frankly, I could buy this if I wanted it, and I am doing these reviews for fun. I am a 65 year old guy and have appreciated the very clear and detailed reviews on Amazon. I started leaving my own and was selected to give these for products that I wanted to look into. But I will call a dog a dog. *************** Explanation of Rating System ************************* My rating system. 1 star - terrible. I wouldn't consider buying it. 2 stars - marginal at best. Doesn't meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk. 3 stars - average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I'd probably buy it. 4 stars - better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I'd buy it. 5 stars - exceptional - far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. ... show more

  • Very Nice Set, But the Value Takes a Little Thought
I was quick to order this because I always enjoy testing tools, and a large screwdriver set like this is something I will actually use. I have tried several tools from this brand before and have generally had good luck with them, so I was curious to see how this one would stack up. After going through the set, using a number of the drivers, checking the fit and finish, and spending some time with the case and accessories, I came away pretty pleased with it overall. This is a well thought out set with a broad selection, comfortable handles, and a case that is better than what you often get in kits like this. My only hesitation comes down to how it is marketed and whether the price is the best value compared to other large screwdriver assortments. The first thing I liked here is just how much coverage this set gives you. You are getting a pretty wide range of conventional screwdrivers, smaller precision drivers, insert bits, and nut driver pieces, so this is not one of those kits that looks full until you start actually reaching for specific sizes. In use, it feels like a genuinely useful assortment that was put together by somebody who at least had a decent idea of what people commonly need around the house, garage, bench, and shop. I especially like having the nut driver selection included. That adds some flexibility and helps separate this from simpler screwdriver-only sets. The handles are another strong point for me. They are comfortable, easy to grip, and shaped well enough that they do not feel awkward even after extended use. That is something I pay attention to because some budget sets look nice in the case but stop being pleasant once you are actually turning screws for a while. These have done well for me so far. I have used several of the more common drivers repeatedly, and I have not had any issues with the handles, shafts, or tips on the ones I have been reaching for most. The steel seems solid enough, and nothing about the used pieces has given me reason to think they are especially weak or poorly made. I also like the case quite a bit. As you can see in my photos, it is laid out well, holds a lot, and makes it easy to see what is included at a glance. That may not sound like a huge deal, but with a set this large, organization is half the battle. A messy case can make a big assortment more annoying than helpful, and that is not the situation here. The latches on mine work well, the handle is decent, and the overall molded case feels better than the throwaway cases that often come with budget tool kits. That said, I did notice a small crack in the molded area near one of the front sections on my set, which I included in my photos. It has not affected use, but it is worth noting because that kind of thing always makes me wonder how the case will hold up long term. The one area where I think buyers should look a little closer is the “magnetic” part of the description. This is where I think the marketing gets a little generous. The set does include a magnetizer/demagnetizer block, and that is useful. I like that it is included, and I will use it. But I do not think most people are going to see this and feel like they are getting something dramatically different from a normal screwdriver set. To me, this is more accurately a large mixed screwdriver kit with a magnetizer included. That is still a good thing, just not quite as special as the branding may suggest. I also spent some time looking over the tips and markings. The size markings are clear enough to be useful, and the mix of full-size drivers, smaller precision pieces, and specialty bits makes this feel like a set that can cover a lot of day-to-day jobs without forcing you to dig for another case. In my photos, I also highlighted some of the tip styles and accessories so buyers can get a better feel for what is actually included. I like that the set is broad enough to be helpful for general household work, shop use, light mechanical work, electronics, and other odd jobs where it is nice to have more than just basic Phillips and flathead options. Where I am torn is price. I do think this is a nice set. I do think it is built well overall. I do like it. But this price range is also where buyers can start comparing it to other larger store-brand and name-brand sets, and that is where the value conversation gets a little more complicated. Some competing sets may not include as many accessory pieces or nut drivers, while others may have stronger warranty support or a little more brand confidence behind them. So for me, this did not turn into a question of whether the set is good, because I think it is. It became more of a question of whether it is an automatic no-brainer at this price, and I am not quite there. Still, looking at the whole package, I think this is a very solid kit. It is versatile, useful, comfortable to work with, and organized better than many comparable sets. I also appreciate that it feels like something I will actually keep reaching for instead of just stuffing on a shelf because it looked impressive in the listing. That is always a good sign. If the price were a little lower, I would feel even better about it. As it stands, I still think it is a strong set and one I am glad to have, I just think buyers should understand that the value comes from the overall assortment and case quality more than from anything especially unique about the “magnetic” branding. Pros: Broad assortment with a useful mix of regular drivers, precision drivers, bits, and nut drivers Handles are comfortable and easy to grip Drivers I used most have held up well so far Good case layout and overall organization Size markings are clear and easy to read Included magnetizer/demagnetizer is a nice extra Feels like a genuinely useful set for home, garage, and bench work Overall build quality is quite good Cons: “Magnetic” feels a little overstated since the set mainly relies on the included magnetizer Price feels a bit high compared to some competing large sets Case on my set already showed a small crack in the molded plastic Value is good, but not quite a slam dunk ... show more
