This tounge jack does not look like it will hold up. The tube has thinner side walls the a decent 3500lb tounge jack. The wire jacket was outside the power head cover.

Wires on motor have plus and minus on them. Written directions have complete opposite instructions on where to connect black and red wires. Installing on travel trailer.

This model is advertised as an 8,500‑lb electric jack, which at this price is a bit confusing. By comparison, similarly priced jacks from widely known manufacturers don’t even claim half that weight. That’s why the 8,500‑lb rating stands out — it’s very ambitious That said, as a functional jack — electric, with a work light — I have no complaints. It’s perfectly capable of lifting my 17‑foot Jayco travel trailer and could easily lift more. It’s easy to install, and I even like the way it looks. So, the final question is price. It’s currently listed at $219.99 with coupon, but for just a few dollars more I can pick up that brand‑name jack I mentioned earlier — the one with thousands of satisfied customers and a weight rating I trust not to be padded. Final Rating: 4 of 5 Almost a 3, but not quite. When you combine the features with what it’s realistically able to lift, the price becomes reasonable. It holds onto the 4, but just barely. If the weight rating had been more believable, it might have earned a 5.

So this is my first electric trailer jack and… yeah… SOLD. I don’t think I can ever go back to the old hand-crank life. Not after this. I slapped this on my big 40-foot double slide camper and it was instant satisfaction. If you’ve ever stood there cranking a manual jack on something that size, you know it turns into a full-on arm day whether you wanted it or not. Not anymore. Push a button and up she goes. Push it again and down she comes. No sweat, no grunting, no questioning your fitness level halfway through. Just smooth, easy lifting like it should’ve always been. The built-in light is a nice touch too. When you’re hooking up or leveling in the dark, you don’t need to juggle a flashlight or rely on your truck lights. This thing lights up the work area and gets it done. Only tip, grab a pad or block for under the jack… but let’s be honest, you probably already knew that. This is one of those upgrades where you immediately wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. At this point I’m already planning to put electric jacks on every trailer I own. Once you go electric, there’s no cranking back.

The jack has plenty of lifting power and raises and lowers the trailer smoothly without struggling, even when dealing with a heavier tongue weight. The built-in LED light is surprisingly useful when setting up or hooking up after dark. It provides enough illumination to clearly see the coupler and surrounding area, making nighttime campsite arrivals much less stressful. I also appreciate the waterproof cover and IP67-rated buttons, which give me confidence that the jack can handle rain, mud, and other outdoor conditions. Installation was straightforward, and the jack fit perfectly on my A-frame trailer. The controls are easy to use, responsive, and conveniently located. The lifting range is excellent, providing plenty of adjustment for connecting and leveling the trailer.

This jack is super easy to install. Once installed it is esay to use - one switch to lift/lower, one to turn lights on/off. It runs smooth and easy. The speed is average - neither fast nor slow. The installation being almost idiot proof is a blessing, but it has eveything you need to get power to it and in your trailer. It has proven to be durable and feels to be of high quality - it is worth the price for how well it works.
