I bought it for my future trip to national parks to spot wild animals. But I had a chance to test it at home once it arrived. I took the first picture using the phone holder came with the monocular. The Jewel Osco is about one mile away and the red bill boards are even further. I was able to read the words on them so I believe it's good enough for my intended use, watching wild animals! This monocular can adjust light and saturation, with complete functions that meet all my expectations for this product, which only exceeded my expectations. The smart phone holder is easy to slide on and off the monocular, if it is already set up with the phone. The tripod is robust once levelled, with option to extend the legs.
