Super cool Barbie fashion design kit. The recommended age just says “kid” and talks about beginners ages 6-8 and older kids ages 8+, but after trying it out with my pretty advanced 6-year-old granddaughter, I’d say it’s geared more towards 8 year olds and up. It comes with lots of supplies (800 pieces!) for creating clothes, and it is fun, but it’s definitely challenging for younger kids. Good value for the money because there are so many pieces. The provided mannequins are a plus.

Super for gift for any creative kid. My daughter is 10 and really enjoys creating different fashion outfits! I was pleasantly surprised with how many different items came in this set. You get a ton of stuff for the price. And you could easily continue to use the dress forms with out fabrics once you've used everything provided. Tons of fabric choices and lots of additional accessories. My daughter is easily able to do this without adult support. Overall this would be a great gift and provides many hours of fun

I love this Designer Kit by MGparty! It includes everything you need for designing, creating and sewing endless tiny outfits. There are some patterns and directions provided. There is a huge variety of fun fabrics included, as well as so many trims, ribbons and accessories. There are four mannequins that you can pin your fabric to, or try your sewn outfits on. It looks like younger children can pin things on, and older children would be able to do more sewing. This kit would make a great gift!

This fashion kit is an excellent value considering how many options and pieces you can create. The mannequins are easy to assemble and my seven year old didn’t need any help putting them together and could create the pieces on her own. It is optional to sew these outfits together, but with just the mannequins, you can tuck the fabrics into the backs of them and see your completed looks. This kit comes with a variety of fabrics to choose from, along with a few different dress patterns, which are optional for use. There are many beautiful ribbons and other trendy accessories to choose from to complete each look. There are a few gems or accessories included that are harder to use or that would require help from a parent, but overall, the options for creative fashion are endless.

This is the perfect kid’s gift to encourage creativity. The manikins are easy to assemble and I love that it has pieces appropriate for younger kids or beginners as well as older, more experienced children. The tiny pin cushion might be my favorite item simply because it’s so cute. This comes with plenty of accessories and decorative items. At around $22, it is a great value for what you receive.
