My son teen son loved this mining bundle! He says that ultimately, he loved the pickaxe and hammer the most. The shovel is a telescoping shovel, which he was thrilled to use, however it did not deliver the way we thought it would. It collapsed several times when digging and he felt that though it was a great tool/device it just did not deliver what he was expecting. I recommend this for 13+ teens or older and other than minor shovel mishaps he was happy with the over package it came in. He says he recommends to any teen looking to mine or just go out and dig to have fun and see what you can find! ... show more

Not quite the quality or size I was thinking the set would be. But will serve its purpose for my grandson. The shovel particularly is not sturdy and much smaller than I thought.
