None of them would even begin to go into the 3/8 inch hitch pin holes on one of my trailers. I checked them with a micrometer. A 3/8 inch pin is 0.3730 decimal inches. These pins are 25/64 fractional inches or 0.3870 decimal -- 0.014 inches thicker. They're going back.

I ordered these pins for several trailers I own because I've been using one for all of them. They happened to be too large for all of my trailers the diameter just will not fit in the holes and I was unaware that this was going to be an issue when ordering them. I'm sure I'll find a use for them at some point but for now the box is just going to sit on the shelf and I will have to buy some smaller normal sized pins.

Well, maybe you DO! Somebody broke into my truck and stole the dumbest things from me. They actually left my pepper spray but took the locking pin for my fifth wheel hitch. Pretty lame, but I'm glad they left the pepper spray (especially since Amazon won't ship it to California anymore). These are great locking pins. I use one for my hitch (obviously), but we also have similar pins in the rear of our toy hauler to lock the HappiJack bed in place and to hold up the cables for our ramp room in the garage. I'm always paranoid that I'm going to lose those pins, but now I've got a bunch of spares. These are just like the ones I already had. The quality and functionality are the same as my others.

Pin diameter is NOT 3/8" (approx 20 mils larger, or 0.5 mm larger). Ended up purchasing locally (Hillman brand). Very disconcerting. Returning.

Everything about these pins is well made. The springs are strong with just enough give to get them back in place after you’ve run the pin through the hole on whatever it is you are joining. For me, I’m using them to hold 8-inch stem casters on my scaffolding and they do the job just fine, so much more handy than using bolts and nuts.
