I ordered this product based on reviews. I plugged it in, it blinked once, then did not light up ever again. I returned it and ordered a replacement with the identical light. Exactly the same as the first, when plugged in, this blinked once then went dark. This is a serious quality control problem, which has resulted in me having to package and return two identical defective lamps from the same manufacturer. This is the best light for my Zoom calls and for recording videos. You can set it up in several different ways. It's extremely versatile and provides the perfect amount of light. Some lights I have are WAY too bright. NOT this ring light. You can choose different brightness, different types of lighting for different situations. Putting it together was a SNAP! I just received it a couple of days ago 5/02/2021). I wish I had it ordered before I got an interview for a school program. This small yet very sturdy light makes a huge difference. It has difference settings that control the brightness and the color of the lights. One thing I did not know was that the main power supply has an usb connection. But I guarantee you that you are going to love it. If you need to extend its height probably it'd be about two feet tall. The base is very sturdy. I am currently using on the back of my laptop. I wish I had it way before it truly does make a difference. I needed up getting the black color just because it matches more my style and overall my MacBook Pro. Ohh in addition, you can have your cellphone attached to the pole if you use your cell phone instead of your computer. Definitely 5 starts, very surprised since this product is made in China. Nothing in here is as advertised or listed on Amazon - I told them but the agent couldn't have cared less. 1. The light is 6.25", not 8" (a man must have measured it) 2. The 'stand' is all of 10.12", with no extensions to raise it (I'm all but dancing with the thing -- had there been an extension," I would have found it. 3. The box has a weight to it that gives you the initial glow of hope but the weight in box is the mic stand which is good quality. 3. No ID on remote ... show more
