    • Well made set; every instrument is very useful.
This is a set of good quality. The instruments are all sturdy. The magnet is perfect for attaching to a fixed spot so that the instruments are always accessible. It is powerful enough to hold all the instruments. The scraper is a little sharp but that can be remedied easily enough. The tweezers all have good points that meet well without leaving any tiny space at the tip. The scissors are sharp. I got this set for my plants. I have many plants which are growing luxuriously and I place beautiful little stones in the soil around them in their pots. Thor branches which accumulate over time. I do not need to rearrange all the branches to do so, on my Pothos especially but also other hanging plants. I also use both of the long tweezers to rearrange the stones on the soil without needing to move aside the well arranged plant branches. The sand scraper is perfect for smoothing the soil as I rearrange the stones. So all these instruments meant for aquariums are very useful for container gardening as well. I've attempted to build some terrariums by hand before and it didn't work out anywhere near what my expectations were. When I came across this entire set of tools, I jumped at the chance. Now, before I've even had a chance to order the materials I need for my next project, I realized that these tools could be used for something entirely different but that would illustrate their usage just the same. Essentially, I made some liqueur infusions with grapefruit and lime peels. Good stuff. However, getting the peels out of the jars was virtually impossible. Something I didn't think about, as I've used open-mouth jars in the past. But regular tweezers couldn't reach far enough in these bottles. Pliers were too wide to enter. So, enter this tool set. See photos for reference. It wasn't necessarily easy to extract each piece of the peel, but by moving slowly and methodically, I was able to get all of these out in about 15 minutes. It took some getting used to as these tools are STURDY. Almost too much so, that I worry about crushing the future terrarium materials I will purchase. However, for now, they served their purpose by operating within the space of a small jar opening and I'll gladly take that. ... show more

These are a good solid quality. I will get a lot of use out of them. I have saltwater aquariums in my classroom and sometimes have difficult fish to feed, so some of these tools will be helpful here. I also have turtles, so the tweezers will help feeding them by hand. My son is using the tongs to feed his snake. The only suggestion I would have is to cover the tips in silicon or plastic so they are more gentle, otherwise I'm very happy with these tools. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This set has everything I needed to make my first terrarium. The double ended spatula-looking thing is great for digging a little hole (small side) and smoothing out the soil (large side). The long tweezer-things are nice for getting deep into the jar, and the curved ones help with plant placement. This set is great for smaller jars with an opening too small to get your hand in. I’m going to have to get a longer set though because I have some very tall jars that I’m dreaming of turning into terrariums, so I think I need 3’ long tweezers! ... show more

This set of tools for aquascaping includes the essential items needed to maintain planted fresh water tanks, as well as to work with coral in salt water tanks. The scissors however are very blunt and depending on what you are needing to cut, are not effective.

I had previously been handling my aquascaping with an old kitchen spatula but this kit is so helpful to have. The tools are sturdy and long enough to allow for me to handle my plants and decor. I can also easily snip away dead plants. It's made caring for my tank easier and as long as I have the tank half full, I don't have to get my hands wet. The included magnetic strip is also helpful for storing your new tools once you figure out exactly how to place them to get everything to stay attached.
