The round hole in the blade sits on a round stem. The hole and the stem should be square to prevent rotation. The screw holding it together should be counterclockwise. It is not. Moreover, the stem is only 1/8 inch in diameter. It would be more effective at 1/4 inch to prevent slippage, This never did what I purchased it to do. The screw would come loose rapidly and the blade would jidy wobble. I think that it poses a danger. ... show more

    • The shaft was broken with the first pressure.
The lateral force should be light. I was cutting PVC pipe and with a small pressure shaft was broken.

I got these based on other positive reviews for cutting a small, thin piece of wood. These work decent for 1-2 cuts and then spin and spin and barely cut anything. They come in a nice package, individually wrapped, appear nice but do not cut through even thin wood. Very disappointed.
