It's made of plastic, so it's only a matter of time before it breaks down from the sun, after which point it will easily tear from branches. If you only put dry leaves in them they would probably be fine, but with that said, you don't want to drag them across your yard or especially your driveway. I bought two of them and on one, the seam split on the bottom on the first use. When I emptied it I noticed holes had been worn through the fabric where I dragged it on the ground.
