My feet pronate inward causing hip and knee pain. These shoes correct the pronation and completely alleviate the pain WITHOUT my expensive orthotics. The shoes strings are quite long and this makes these boots very easy to adjust for those who say it is tight across the top of the foot.

I don't know if these were supposed to come with insoles like soft ones because the boots are very hard in the inside like hard as wood but no foam. I agree about the high arches, *which I don't have*, I am keeping them as they are gorgeous and well made, but I wouldn't wear them every day as I had originally planned.

I've got a couple other pairs of Dansko booties and now I've added these to my collection. I love them! Tons of toe room. Great support. However, when I got them out of the box to try them on the left one felt strange. Of course it did! There was an alien orthotic in it. Just the left one which is too bad because I could have used a new pair of orthotics! Everything looks brand new. The orthotic was Orthofeet so certainly not Dansko. At any rate, perfect boots for me.

I have five pairs of Dansko's and I love them. I'm usually a 9.5-10 in shoes and a 9.5-10 in Dansko shoes and these are no exception but my goodness, the comfort. I have the weakest ankles known to man and as much as I love my Dankso shoes, I have been known to roll my ankle in them and hit the dirt. These give me a little more support in the ankle because they're a boot. I bought the beige and they're a beautiful distressed beige leather. I'm buying the black now too. I can only wear Dr Martens, Dansko, and Converse with inserts because I have serious foot issues and I've had a hip replaced. These boots are a boho girl's dream!
