We purchased two of these to accommodate a lot of books and room for pictures, pottery, and decorative storage boxes. It certainly meets our needs and the mint green looks pretty in the guest room. As far as assembly, my husband and I spent 4 hours assembling the first one. It has many pieces and lots of hardware. The instructions are good, but I was surprised it did not give you a list of tools you need. We used a power drill ON LOW SPEED, two size manual screws drivers and a mallet. If you are not mechanically inclined or familiar with the various types of fasteners it uses, I would recommend finding someone who is to help you or watching videos. I was able to assemble 75% myself, only asking my husband for help with the larger, heavier pieces. The finished bookshelves are very sturdy. The adjustable shelves are easy to move around. My new house didn’t come with a large enough pantry so I used this shelf on a wall in the laundry room. I absolutely love that the shelves are narrow enough that you can see everything easily. It’s extremely sturdy when put together and gorgeous!! I’m probably buying a couple more for garage storage since these are similar price but much better quality and beautiful compared to plastic of metal garage shelves. It’s just so versatile - it would be gorgeous as intended as a bookshelf. Or in a bathroom. Or just anywhere with enough space. I’m thrilled with it 💕. Of note: it comes in two large boxes and plan a day for putting it together. I found a good show to listen to and thoroughly enjoyed it like I was building a huge Lego…with this bookshelf even us adults get to have fun building 😊. You will need a second person to lift the top half into the bottom. Instructions are fantastic. Quality is fantastic. Color is gorgeous! I highly recommend!! Honestly pretty impressed for the price! It’s very sturdy, and a beautiful way to display books or other objects. I feel like there could have been a lot less pieces, and it’s not easy to assemble alone. You definitely will need at least 2 people to lift the top part up to place on the bottom half. The instructions could have been a little clearer, I would definitely recommend using a mallet for the wooden dowels or you will have a slight gap in between some pieces. All in all still super happy with it, and I would buy another if my room were 3 inches longer! ... show more

I am absolutely in LOVE with this bookcase! It's a touch of a pain to put together by yourself and it says to have help attaching the top to the bottom, but I had to make due cuz I'm impatient and my husband was at work. Granted my first one came in with a few damaged pieces, but the seller was extremely kind and understanding as the damaged pieces were unusable and they don't have just the parts available. So unfortunately I had to wait for a 2nd one to be delivered before I could assemble this (and the life happened and it's taken me weeks to even get the time to assemble it. The seller was super kind and very prompt and punctual on everything regarding sending another and told me to keep the pieces of the 1st one should the 2nd arrive with any issues and then it was entirely up to me what to do with leftover pieces. Still don't know what to do with em, but most everything lined up without issues. The only lineup issues I had were for 2 of the front bar frame piece. The laminate cover is a hair too thick to lineup right with the top archway pieces and I had to take a razor blade and literally shave the laminate off at the tops of them, but then it fit together like a dream. Also a few holes weren't all the way through, they weren't off by much so easy to push the screws through without damage so it wasn't like anything major and it's proving to be extremely sturdy and a wonderful bookcase. It looks exactly how it does in the picture, color, wood grain look, and functions like a dream. Please keep in mind though that the backs are also wood grain print and the only reason mine aren't is that I ordered some peel and stick wallpaper and covered them to add a pop of color to it and while it looks grey/beige it's actually pale green. Secured it to the wall with the supplied parts and it's nice and sturdy, doesn't wobble or shake. My photo is without my books, but now it's currently loaded down top to bottom with dozens of books and there's no buckling or warping on any of the shelves. ... show more

I searched for a long time for a good, pretty, and affordable bookshelf. I love this one so much. It does take 2 people to put together, but the instructions were great and all the pieces were labeled. All the pieces were very sturdy and the shelves hold more than I thought it would! My box came a day early and I was worried because the box looked a bit beaten up. The inside was packaged really well with foam and particle board to keep the pieces safe. Heavy. Sturdy. Beautiful. The triple wide bookshelf arrived in 2 boxes over the course of 2 days. It took a full morning to put together, without working steadily. Many breaks were had. 1 person was able to put the majority together, and 2 of us finished the final assembly. We are very pleased.
