Been wanting some surley moloko bars for a while but the cost was a bit much for me to justify getting them, found these and the price was right plus they are made out aluminum and quite a bit lighter. The welds are good and the angles are just right for comfort, multiple places to hold onto while you ride, plenty of room for mounting whatever handlebar accesories you might have. Does give your bike a bit of character, they have a manta ray shape. ... show more

These seem just as good as the Moloko bars they copy. Adds lot's of mounting points for handlebar bags or accessories. The angle of the bars is nice and so are the multiple grip positions. I did not have an issue with them slipping like another review said. Also if you do have a slipping issue, I imagine some friction paste would fix that. ... show more

These bars are obviously a rip off of the Surly Moloko bars. I wanted to try out this unusual set up and this was a much more affordable choice. My only real critique is that there is insufficient knurling where they clamp to the stem which makes it hard to keep them from rotating in the stem clamp. So far I like the ergonomics, comfort and the multiple hand positions. I will likely buy the actual Surly brand bars to replace these to remedy the bar rotation problem. I have the exact bars from Surley, and wanted another set for a different bike. At half the cost, I thought I would give it a shot. Finish-4/10 more of a matte finish and is not very durable. I’ll be using bar tape but exposed areas will wear rather quickly. Welds-1/10 welding aluminum is never a clean cut process but the monkey that welded this clearly does not take much pride in their work or they just started. Cost-8/10 half price set the hook for me to give these a shot. Really do not want to try dealing with a return at this point so I guess I’ll mount them up and hope for the best. Weight-8/10 they are aluminum and a bit lighter than the actual surley bars(steel) it’s not a big deal to me as I’m not a weight nerd when it comes to biking. But there are some out there who like chasing that dream so I thought I’d add that observation. I do like the way my surleys felt on my fat bike. I also like the aggressive look, and extra real estate for mounting accessories. In the end, I’m skeptical but willing to give these a shot. ... show more

I added this to a Load 75 e cargo bike. I love all the hand positions it has to offer, and it gives me confidence when attempting a tuck position. It doesn't make me faster in the moment, but it does give my body a break for a different position. It was a 10 minute install, and hardest part was figuring out where the attachments go. Also, it was interesting wrapping these too. I added some felt pieces facing up to dampen vibrations. I wanted the Velo Orange crazy bars, and settled on these for their weight and money saving. ... show more

    • Improved comfort.
Comfortable while it looks strange. More upright positioning for my gravel riding. As an old fellow this is a pleasant improvement. I also added grips which gives another option for hand placement.
