Plugs into my Generac 8000E for 1 amp trickle charge. Hopefully will not overcharge. LED light to indicate power on and is charging. 6' cord is nice feature.

    • This worked with my Firman Inverter generator.
I bought a refurbished, Firman generator and saved money even over the Costco price. The refurbished unit did not come with a trickle charger to keep the battery strong. This unit works just fine as a substitute.

    • Gets The Job Done
I have a Generac GP8000E generator which I keep in a shed outside, and since I only use it when there's an extended power outage due to hurricane, the battery goes dead. I have been connecting the battery to an automobile charger using alligator clips, which does not work very well and is a pain. I had never noticed that the generaor has a built in jack specifically for a charger until recently. This charger fits my generator nicely, and seems to work great. My present battery is nearing replacement time- it would not start the generator a few days ago, but after connecting this charger for a couple days, it starts right up. So far, so good. I have reason to believe that this charger will keep a new battery in ready condition so that I don't have to worry in case of emergency. ... show more
