"Heavy Duty Aluminum". It is in the product description and it is accurate. Very nicely made. The tool end and the tool shaft are one piece of cast aluminum. I tried to figure out how far the shaft of the tool extends into the handle. I got scientific. I thought about using a magnet to detect the metal, but it is an aluminum tool. I shined a super bright flashlight through the handle, looking for a shadow from the shaft. Nope. I tried flexing the handle and squeezing it. No luck. Then I put it in the kitchen sink with the tool end in a pan, and ran hot water over it, watching with a thermal imager to see if it would detect how far heat was conducted up inside the handle. That did not work either. So it remains a mystery how far the tool shaft is inside the handle. But judging by the build quality of the rest of the tool, they did that right too! These look so much better than those stamped tools with slender welded shafts. I'm confident you will be pleased with them. I am impressed!

I grew up in the desert. Some people had gardens. They had to spend a lot of time on their plants and I always thought it seemed boring, plus I didn't like the thought of digging, squating or really doing anything outside when the sun was overhead, I could feel the wrinkles forming on my hot hot face. But now I live somewhere cooler and I have a yard to maintain and having a few tools makes it easier (digging with bare holes doesn't really work, I tried it once when I decided to plant a cherry pit so I could have cherries year round, it never grew, which is part of my souring on gardening). These are a nice size for some basic planting. I dug several little holes to plant sunflowers and mint. I don't know if it's too late in year (I think the mint will do okay, but flowers seeem persnickety). But the little claw tool made pulling up some weeds before digging much easier.

I've been gardening and my tools are rusted and ugly. I got these tools to make gardening more enjoyable. When I got these out of the box, I was so excited! I don't know what they're made of, but they feel solid and helps me dig little holes. I'm pretty happy with my flower garden tools.

This two piece trowel and fork set is SO worth the price! You can see in the photo they are a bit larger than standard size (well, they are larger than the half dozen tools I have) which I really like. The handle is cushioned the entire length instead of just 3-4" of it. They are almost too pretty to use! I also like them because they don't blend in with the dirt which makes it very easy for me to see where I left my tools.

This gardening set is so adorable--which makes it super giftable for the gardeners in your life. These tools are larger than expected, but lightweight. The silicone handles have a comfortable thumb grip. The flower print looks to be shrink-wrapped onto the metal...if that's what it is, I'm unsure how this print pattern will withstand corrosion (especially if used on acidic soil), so I plan to clean them immediately after use.

These garden tools are so pretty to look at, you almost don't want to get them all dirty! These are perfect for a gardener or for a beautiful gift for your favorite gardener (would look perfect in a gift basket). They work really well and you can feel the weight of them that shows that they are sturdy. I like the smooth handles so whether you are handling them with or without gardening gloves, these will feel comfortable in your hands. I have to confess that I find myself cleaning them a lot after using (which is easy to do with these) just because I want to be able to see the pretty design!

I had just replaced my garden trowel set, (It had become broken) but it was before I saw this pretty set. Had I seen this first I wouldn't have purchased the last set. So now I have two sets, which is fine. This set is so pretty! The handle has a good rubber grip and the tool is generously sized. the construction seems solid as well. I don't think I've seen a prettier trowel set anywhere. Another bonus is that the bright colors will help me locate it when I leave it in the garden. This is a definite winner and completely gift worthy as well although I don't on tend on giving this set away.
