Well we were very surprised at the great pics we got from this thing but there are some caveats. The controls and menu are terrible, the remote never worked to trigger the pictures so half the pictures are blurred from you touching the button on the screen. The SD card slot is almost impossible to get the card out, needed tweezers. Every time you unplug it you lose all your settings so it goes back to 50hz for Europe, lose the date, etc. The extra lights make all the difference for great pics, the 7” screen is a must. The big screen is awesome. Its lights are very bright sometimes to bright but you just have to adjust them. The only thing i didnt like much was the position of the knobs to raise the camera. They are lined up with the 2 flexable lights. And also the zoom knob is under the screen you have to reach it in a awkward position. If both zoom and height were on buttons or on the remote it would be the Perfect Microscope on the market. The pics have great quality and its perfect for my coin error hunting. ... show more

1) The definition of USB is Universal Serial Bus. This microscope cannot be used on a Universal Serial Bus. It has power plugs that are similar to those used on a Universal Serial Bus but cannot communicate with a Universal Serial Bus. The USB claim intentionally misleading product information. There is no PC or MAC interface possible with this device. Therefore, USB is a false product claim. It does have a micro-SD card slot but that does not qualify it as a USB device. 2) The unit I received is broken. One of the lights on the adjustable stands does not work and possibly never worked. The product I received is defective. 3) The firmware for the device does not function correctly. The pictures remaining number changes randomly and the remote does not perform the functions stated in the product manual. I will need to return this product for a full refund. ... show more

It does what it says, so I cannot complain there. But considering the price over their other model I expected more. Half of the functionality is only available using the remote which comes with no batteries, and it does not come with an SD card like the other model. The lack of pc connectivity for a model in this price range is not acceptable either. Telling a customer the screen is big enough is a poor excuse for not supporting pc connectivity, you do not know customer needs. The menu navigation is much better on the other model as well. The only benefit of this model are the extra lights. The manual is missing instructions for extra parts, which you need to look at the photos on Amazon to see what they are for. I suggest you look for the other model in their details and go for that one as it is cheaper and better quality/functionality. ... show more

I purchased this for pcb repair and in my opinion it is more on the toy side. The housing is made of plastic and buttons aren't all that responsive and make obnoxious sounds while trying to get the button to register. Screen was EXTREMELY GRAINY... Lights supplied are 4 out of 10 at best. Construction of everything except base felt cheap and easily breakable. The base could possibly be used for self defense or maybe a plate for a S.W.A.T. vest lol. (PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE AS A BULLETPROOF DEVICE AS IT IS INTENDED FOR HUMOR ONLY)!!! ... show more

No valuable instructions included, box missing lens cap, nd filter, but has warranty card, but no address to send it to. Very disappointed at this point, since images will not put a file on memory card supported by windows. I disliked this device because it would not take any pictures; stills or moving. In fact, the device destroyed a perfectly good Scandisk 32GB SDHC of mine. When I sent an email from Amazon.com, I still have not heard back from them. This device isn't on their (Koolertran`s) website! The pamphlet that came with the device is so skimpy on details, I think it is for a different models or version than what I was sent. ... show more

This microscope is great I love the screen. I'm blind so it works out well. Zoom's okay, 1080p is okay I guess I'm not I don't know my eyes are bad so it looks good for me. All the movements are okay lighting is a little extreme, I'm a coin collector so I use it for coins and sometimes the glare can be a nuisance other then that it just a matter of moving the lighting around but I would recommend to anybody really I love the screen ... show more
