These spatulas are exactly what I expected. They are very sturdy and also very straight. It does seem really hard to bend them to a different, scooped shape, which might make it harder to scoop fine powders, but also means they're likely to hold up to chipping away at clumped salts. The finish on these are lightly polished and smooth. No defects, seams, or burrs. Most are generally flat, but a couple had a very slight bend on the flat, spatula portion. I'm not sure what kind of stainless these are made from, but they are moderately-to-highly magnetically attracted. That may make a difference, depending on the application. Regular autoclaving, or exposure to certain reagents, may put their corrosion resistance to the test. This is just a guess, not a fact. They are rigid and strong, however. I think they could be used a small pry bar or screwdriver in a pinch... not that I would encourage that. ... show more
