We originally bought these because my husband injured his ear at BJJ and needed me to drain his "cauliflower ear" - gross - and for that purpose these worked perfectly. I felt safe using them, they came in sterile packaging and they're sturdy so I didn't feel worried about anything being too fragile for use in cartilage. Anyway, these were great! I ended up with more than I needed so I dulled the needle on one and have been using it for fountain pen ink cartridges and they work beautifully there too. I also ended up using one for essential oils, and I think the needle is just too fine for that purpose because it lost suction pretty quickly and kept getting stuck. I think that's kind of a weird use though that most people won't need a syringe for, I just had tiny bottles and only wanted a couple of drops from those. I have to take a Vitamin B12 injection once a week due to a condition where by body doesn’t properly metabolize and store this water soluble vitamin and needs help. These are the best syringes I have found. I was buying them at the pharmacy but they never had the same kind twice. Some of the needles were sharp, some weren’t and they were higher than these.
