    • Infrared Light Therapy for eyes - no problem to report, using the low setting.
Great quality. Purchased for Red Light Eye therapy based on a video by Dr. Berg on reversing bad vision. He states to use the Infrared light at 670nm for no more than 3-minutes (per eye), and only once a week. Regarding the low vs high setting, I did a Google AI search which said the high setting of 40 mW/cm2 can definitely be dangerous, so I don't typically trust Google, but in this case I am not going to take chances. I use the 8mW/cm2, low setting. From positive reports regarding the research on Infrared light therapy, it is reported that this can be good for low to medium macular degeneration issues, or maybe for prevention, too. I don't have any known macular degeneration issues, but on the other hand if the mitochondria are increased which can definitely have positive benefits, I think it's worthwhile. I will update over the next few months, maybe once a month, and let you know if I have anything to report. ... show more

    • Flashing and no high beam relative to battery strength
I’d like to start by saying that this flashlight has made a measurable improvement in my vision. It’s easy to use, attach the silicone cylinder, close your eye and hold it there for three minutes. Most effective when used in the morning. The cons: This flashlight is not rechargeable. It takes 3 AAA batteries. The problem with this situation is that the performance of the flashlight declines remarkably as the batteries weaken. The light doesn’t simply weaken, the flashlight malfunctions. How? When batteries are fresh, you get both the high and low red light. As the batteries decline, the flashlight turns itself off if you switch to the brighter light, only the low beam is available. When the battery’s strength weakens again, the low beam flickers/strobes, you cannot get a steady beam. It’s time for fresh batteries. I contacted the Amazon for replacement, as I was so impressed by the visual changes this light had made in my vision , I did not want to stop using it. The seller immediately sent me a new flashlight. Since I hadn’t sent the first one back yet, I ran some experiments with the batteries on both flashlights. That’s when I discovered it’s a design flaw relative to battery strength with the flashlight itself. This is just how it behaves as battery strength declines. Bottom line: this flashlight is amazing if you’re prepared for its appetite for triple A batteries. If the batteries were rechargeable this major design flaw would go away. ... show more

I bought this because it specifically listed the wavelength and intensity, without making any other claim for it. It's exactly as described - a deep red light with two brightness levels and a spacer. Whether for medical miracles or just a nice flashlight that won't spoil your night-vision, this is a good place to start. EDIT TO ADD - 12/06/26 - I had a small issue with this several weeks after purchase, that was at least partly my fault.. Contacted vendors about availability of spare parts and they promptly replace the entire flashlight. You can buy this with confidence! ... show more

I had the original Eagle670 and loved it, so when I saw the upgraded version was released, I knew I had to try it. I’m so glad I did — this new model is even better! The improved casing feels thicker, sturdier, and fits perfectly around the flashlight. It has two light settings that are both bright and consistent, and the overall build quality feels top-notch.
