  • Definitely a toy, not a real keyboard
I purchased this to try to help my kids learn how to read sheet music and see if they would stick with practicing before making a more significant investment in a real piano or higher grade keyboard. I think this works for that purpose but it is definitely a toy and not something they will be able to develop on for very long. The keyboard is very small. Each key is almost exactly the width of one of my fingers, which makes it a challenge for not only me but even my young children to play. The keys do all work and effort is light on each key. There are a number of different tone options to simulate different instruments. This isn't really something I needed but they sound decent. Once feature that confused me a bit was the record / play option. I've typically thought this is to record a small sample and then loop it while playing along to it. On this keyboard, when you replay your recording, you can't play at the same time, so it feels useless. The keyboard works well off of 3 AAA batteries but there is also the option to power it off a usb-c port, which is a nice option. The included microphone works but again just reinforces that this is a toy. ... show more

  • Great Portable Keyboard
I have a musically-inclined autistic child who loves the giant Casio keyboard in our home, but tries to take it with them wherever, which doesn't work both because of its size/weight, and also because it needs to be plugged in to work. This keyboard addresses both of those issues. It's made from a relatively cheap plastic, which in this case is to its benefit, as that means it's very light and portable to carry around. It also can run on batteries if you need to, which means that it can be taken from room to room, or even into the car. It has all the standard things you'd expect from a kid's keyboard, including a meter button and a number of standard demo songs. What's nice about this one compared to most is that this is 61 keys. While still not hitting the full-size keyboard numbers, that's a lot more variety than most of the toy keyboards has (which is usually closer to 38). It's honestly worth paying a little bit more, as it would ideally mean an easier transition to a regular keyboard as they child grows up. The only thing I find annoying about the keyboard is that the default volume when you turn it on is too high. I think it starts at something like 10/15, which honestly should have been the max volume to begin with, and it resets whenever you turn it off. That aside, this is a really great keyboard that our kid is loving as they learn more with music. ... show more

  • Good size
I love the size of this piano compared to the much smaller ones appropriate for small kids. The demo songs are awful though and I don’t recognize any of them. Other than that it sounds great and it’s perfect for my toddler who loves music but isn’t ready to learn the piano officially yet, while still having enough keys for me to play with her. It does come with a small microphone that looks to be about the same quality as similar products which means it probably won’t last long with my overzealous child. ... show more

  • Good for the Price — But Don’t Expect Premium Quality
I got this 61-key keyboard for my child, and overall it delivers what you’d hope for at this price point. The functionality works—keys play sounds, the speaker is loud enough for bedroom piano play, and the extra features (rhythms, demo songs) add some variety. The design is simple and child-friendly: lightweight, compact, and straightforward for little hands to reach the keys. Ease of use is decent—kids can start pressing keys and getting sounds without too much setup. In terms of quality, though, it shows its budget nature. The plastic is thin, and parts feel delicate. Over time, you can see some misalignments in the keys. The durability is limited—with regular use or occasional bumps, you may see wear, scratches, or parts becoming less responsive. The sound quality is acceptable for casual play, but it’s not very rich or dynamic. For what I paid, it’s a workable beginner toy, especially if your child is exploring music casually. Just don’t expect it to compete with well-known brands in longevity or performance. ... show more

  • Great keyboard for any child!
Great keyboard for any child who is loves music! We got this for our great niece who will soon be 10 years old. She loves to sing and play on our grandsons keyboard. She has done karaoke in front of strangers, but of course is a tad timid. We know this will help her feel more comfortable learning songs, and singing with a microphone. I just know with a little practice, she will get over her fear of being in front of a crowd. The sound of each key matches my grandsons perfectly. The sound is very clear when using the microphone. Love the face that you can plug in a head set to keep the noise level lower or nonexistent. The weight and size is perfect for a child. Seems like it was made well and is durable. The price point on this was pretty good. I almost want to get another one for myself. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Too loud
This thing turned on very loud in a bad way. It always started on the loudest sound, and there was no way to make it quieter right away. It was hard to play softly because of this. The microphone was also very loud. There wasn’t a way to turn down the microphone sound. This made it hard to hear the piano sounds, and just hurts to hear. The microphone cord was short. When anyone tries to sing and play, the cord pulled on the piano. Also, because the microphone and piano speakers were close together, it has really bad loud squeaking feedback. Just annoying. The piano did work when batteries were put in or USB-C. All the keys made a sound. It was easy to turn on. But it didn’t really matter that it worked, because the sound was too much. It wasn't a broken item, just a very loud one. It's hard to play quietly, and the microphone makes extra noise. After a few days, I threw out the microphone. It works well as a toy piano for people that don't mind blowing an eardrum. Otherwise, skip it. Also, the mold for the piano is kind of... basic and doesn't look great. Has visible injection spots. Not great for the price. ... show more
