These bearings are exactly as described. The arrived well packed. The all rotate smoothly as should be expected. The description did say the lubricant was more restrictive of motion (as opposed to a lighter lubricant as you might want in roller skate bearings). As delivered, these bearings won't spin and spin as the lubricant will stop the rotation. They do, however, have removable shields so the lubricant can be removed and replaced with whatever lubricant best serves your purpose. On the plus side, these bearings have shields on both sides (whereas some roller skate/skateboard bearings) only shield one side. This allows you to put whatever lubricant you prefer inside the bearing and seal it back up nicely. ... show more

These are great generic bearings for a wide range of things, but I definitely wouldn't recommend them for skating of any kind, they're just too slow for that. But I've used a bunch of these to make my own 3d printer filament spool rollers. They're perfect for this. They provide a friction free way for me to feed filament to my printers. For a lot of applications, you will want to consider stripping the grease that these ship with and relubricating, especially in low-load uses. Seals are strong and pliable. Easily removed and replaced for lubrication changes. ID and OD are consistent and accurate, as well as overall thickness.
