Don't expect solid wood. Of course for this price the material is economized to the extreme, but it works fine and looks great. The value for the price is excellent. The instructions are very clear, but it's time consuming to assemble it. There is no other way: free shipping straight to your house from aboard at this price, the minimum you can do is take the time to assemble it. Otherwise you can order one already assembled from the local store for thousands of dollars. An advice: don't over tighten the screws, because the material is delicate. Use your hands and a screwdriver, don't use the electric drill. Soon as you feel the screws getting little bit hard to turn, just stop right there. Use common sense. One more advice: put all the screws in separate containers (like little cups) and label them. It will simplify and speed up the assembly process (see picture)

I love this cart. It gives more work space in the kitchen and adds storage as well. My granddaughter loves to roll it to see the tv while she eats. It took my husband a long time to put it together but is was so worth it. I would buy again.

Warning! I see some review that said to use a power tool to complete this faster. Unless you have a drill with extremely low torque, I do not recommend this! this material is basically compressed saw dust, and the screw will turn the drill holes into sawdust if you use them. it might work for some, but you are risking ruining the product. I recommend using a better screwdriver and just put some elbow grease in. Product is generally good for the price. Do not get if you are intimidated by hundreds of screws. not even really exaggerating. There are at least 60-100 screws that you need to work through. took me about 4 hours in total but I have a bad back so you may be able to complete this faster. Product is not of the greatest quality. some of the glued wood may need to be glued back down. This was somewhat expected from the price. All in all, if you want a decent looking kitchen Island and are not intimidated by tons of screws, you can't beat this for the price.

A forewarning - if you're not REALLY good at assembling flatpack, this will challenge you. I pride myself on being very good at flatpack and this took me over 3 hours and a host of tools. There are about 40 pieces and 20+ different types of screws and hardware. My advice - use a drill with adjustable torque and set it quite low so that you don't strip the screws, the material is definitely cheap particle board. Also, ditch the tiny included Phillips head for a wide flat screwdriver when it comes to the turn-and-lock fasteners. All of that said - this thing ROCKS! Very sturdy, looks GREAT, tons of storage. Drawers could be deeper. Soft-close cabinets feel great. The top is expansive, and the outlets are perfectly placed. More than stable enough to place our Kitchenaid on for pasta and breadmaking, rolling out doughs, etc. I probably wouldn't cut directly on it - the top isn't butcherblock, it's made like a door (hollow core). But it still feels plenty solid. I'm so impressed that this thing is only $250, I'd happily pay double. Many great meals will be made on ours. Highly, highly recommended!

It's not a simple "put together." However, after assembled the island is very sturdy and provides ample storage. This island is a quality product, but will take hours to complete.

I am very pleased with this kitchen island. I’m not very good at putting stuff together, but I figured it out with the pictures provided. I read the reviews that it took people 1-3 hours. It took me 3 days. Very sturdy and fits beautifully in my kitchen.

I was extremely unhappy with the item. First off the was a crack going down one of the main pieces of the cart. The product manual was awful to follow and when going through with the build I screwed the drawer hinges on after triple checking the screws and directions to lift the products and they all fell off. The heads on the screw were too small for the holes and they slipped through each one. I double checked but any other hole didn't line up and there was only one screw labeled H. Screws were also placed in with other labeled screws to make the problem worse. I noticed cut/choppy sections poorly measured out and cut for the screws to sit in properly. After these peoblems I decided this piece was not at all worth the hassle and is made poorly.
