I can't say what I was expecting when I ordered this product but it does the job it says it will do and it works well. It's kind of like a long tarp, made out of the same plasticky kind of material but thicker and tighter woven. It is very strong--very hard to cut or rip--and has brass grommets throughout the sturdy seamed edges. If you have an existing chain link fence that you're attaching this to then installation is very easy. A pack of zipties comes with this item and they are the easiest, quickest way to hang this privacy mesh screen. In the evening and at night the fence is a solid black, during the day you can see the light behind it but the light doesn't shine through it. It's very effective as a privacy fence as you cannot see any objects through it, even on the sun shiniest days. It really does provide a sense of separateness and security, feels much more relaxing to be outside if you have very close neighbors.

The craftsmanship/quality on this mesh screen is a bit disappointing. The edges aren't well trimmed, and the grommets are large, gaudy and lack precision placement. I might use this to hold down mulch in a trailer, but not really interested in adding it as a visible item on my fence.
