Solid tool set with some heft to it, the valve wrench and the tool used to hold the valve while tightening or loosening are both well constructed. The ferule removing tool worked like a charm. This is a useful kit for pulling ferrules and replacing old angle stop valves. The angle stop wrench comes in handy. The plumbers wrench nice as well with somewhat of a ratcheting action, but I prefer using an open end wrench for initial loosening and final snugging down of the ferrule nut. The ferrule puller works but can be difficult to turn the small handle. It would be nice if there was a hex head on the back of the handle to be used with a ratcheting wrench.

The male thread on the brass coupler seem large as I could only engage one or two threads on the ferrule nut by hand. I had to use tools to thread it further. Not sure if this is normal, or if there is a risk of tightening too much prior to pulling. The aluminum part that inserts into the copper pipe was a tight fit. I have another puller that was easier to insert. Of course, a tight fit preserves the diameter of the copper pipe when pulling. Having said that, I am of the opinion that one is better off reusing the old ferrule, as the new ferrule is sized for a pipe that was never compressed. There was a bit of diameter reduction on my old pipe stub and the new ferrule was very loose and failed to seal. The red wrench was great for tight spaces, as compared to a conventional wrench.
