Needed to remove bathroom shut off valve

Just purchased this to replace a 35 year old bathroom shut off valve that was leaking. Tools work great. However the videos for taking off the compression sleeve are deceiving. They make it look easy, it isn't. Really need to loosen the compression sleeve by twisting it with plyers, or pipe wrench before attempting to remove it. I also cleaned the copper above the compression sleeve before using the puller. It then works great. Wrench works perfectly at removing the nuts. Highly recommend . Good quality

Sleeve remover is a game changer; you may not get the nut tight enough w/ supplied tools.
Style: Angle Stop Wrench with 1/2-Inch Compress...
Mid 1970's copper supply lines, and most likely the original shutoff valves. Current water pressure is not too high. Removing the original valves worked fine, as did the sleeve remover. The supplied sand paper was then used to clean up the pipe well. After putting on the new valve and using the two tools to tighten the nut, it was tightened as much as person with pretty strong arms/hands can tighten it (the instructions say to not over tighten). Once the water as turned on, one nut let go and water sprayed everywhere. The other side had a slow leak. Water was turned off, then the nuts tighten 'the old fashioned way' with two wrenches, and we got enough torque for no leaks on both sides. The tools for removing the valve are useful, and the sleeve remover was worth the price of admission, but in our experience, you may not get enough torque when tightening the nut with the supplied tools. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 rating because the sleeve remover was a game changer.

Very effective tool set for replacing angle stop valves on toilets and sinks. Everyone who does some plumbing work around the house should have this set. Much easier than fighting with crescent or open wrenches that can't fit in a tight space and constantly slip off the nut.
