With the cost of lumber going up, it makes sense to protect your fence posts from the elements as much as possible and these adhesive sheets do the trick. They are similar to the adhesive sealant used the seal around window installations to keep the weather out. So, I expect them to work as they should to protect our new fence posts from the elements, dirt and bugs around the bottom where they make contact with the ground surface and is the spot where most of the rot can occur. You can count on extending the life of your wood fence posts with these post protectors.

Needed some post protectors for a fence project with wood 4x4's. These work well enough for that. I haven't tested them extensively. Time will tell how well they hold up or how well the post is protected. It seems they are exactly as advertised though. Not too bad. If it's on sale, seems worth it for sure. Happy so far.

The media could not be loaded. This item was as advertised but a little hard to review for the intended purpose - preventing wood rot in in-ground posts. We recently installed and outdoor shower and wanted to weatherproof it as much as possible. This large adhesive sheet is flexible and stretchy which can make it challenging to work with. Our prostate cemented in so I cut these in half as our gravel bed won't be more than 5 inches. Cutting these with sissors is very easy. Pulling the tape taught before adhering it can minimize slack and make for a cleaner appearance. It appears to adhere to the wood but I'm not sure how bonded it is and if it will prevent water and moisture intrusion. It appears like it will at least help.

Good material for a good purpose. Most fenceposts have their worst weathering and wear right at ground level. These will mitigate that risk.
