I have a 12 ft wide gate on the side of my house that has been a pain to open and close ever since I moved into this house. I purchased this wheel as a way of allowing me to open and close the gate with less effort. When I purchased this wheel I knew it would make opening the gate easier, but I figured there would still be some effort required. Imagine my surprise after installing this when opening and closing such a big gate takes little to no effort! Installation was very easy, just a couple of bolts that needed to be connected and the wheel was ready to use!

There is so much play between the parts that the wheel itself ends up rubbing against the gate it is attached to. The play is in two locations, both of which suggest poor build quality. First, the two surfaces that the bearings sit between have so much play that the loose bearing balls are likely to fall out sometime in the near future. Second, the fit between the vertical threaded nut and the tube it sits within is enough to cause quite a wobble. Like others here I was replacing a gate wheel that was not so great. But that one at least had way better tolerances on the fit between parts. I was able to tighten a nut to get the plates the bearings sit between to be tighter, but it still has a bit of wobble. The other section with play can not be fixed. I would not recommend this particular gate wheel and I plan on getting another one to see if it is any better.

This wheel attaches easily enough, but the spring part isn't as flexible as I expected it would be. It is being used for a new gate install, so I don't have an old one to compare it to. The spring doesn't seem like it will move over surfaces of vast height differences. I've not looked at it to see if that is adjustable at all because the area our gate rolls over is fairly level pasture. For our purposes, the wheel works fine and seems like it will hold up well for a long time.

This is proving to be a high quality fence gate wheel. It should fit most any household needs and even a lot of industrial needs. This wheel is much better quality than any other fence gate wheel I have tried in the past, which were all rather scrawny and rusted pretty quickly. This wheel rolls smoothly across grass or concrete and install pretty easily.

This heavy-duty wheel from WOUDY was an excellent choice for our large wooden gate to the backyard. The gate door is very heavy and was causing some sagging to the fence. With the wheel installed, the weight is now properly supported resulting in no more sagging and easier opening and closing. The metal plate which attaches to the door is strong and has sufficient anchor points. The pivot portion of the wheel allows the wheel to rotate into position easily and offers a grease fitting. The wheel features a solid tire and easily handles the capacity of 500 pounds that is listed. This is well engineered and gets the job done at a reasonable price.

I have an older chain link gate that has seen better days. It is beginning to sag when opened. This support wheel fixes that. It only took about 20 minutes to install. I set it for about 1 inch of spring travel when closed and it does a nice job supporting the swing action of the gate..no more sagging. It has plenty of travel to accomodate the drop in the ground. It will make the gate last for years now.

It rained last night and I was surprised that the screw/bolts showed rust this morning. Hoping that this will not be an issue with the stability and longevity of this wheel. The spring is not as dynamic as I expected. I fully expected it to rise and fall with the grade of the driveway. To make it work, we have to set it to roll on the highest point of the drive and it does not touch the rest of the way. I am disappointed.

had a wheel that was squeeking like mad no matter what i did to try and fix it. and the tire was solid plastic garbage, it made so much noise opening and closing. i dont even think it was rated for a gate, maybe a small wooden fence this solved all my headaches, and i should of gotten one sooner. this will outlast the gate itself im sure.
