Our church burned down in the Caldor Fire, and we needed a quick replacement for our transitional building. I bought this board with my own money thinking we could use it until the church could afford a better one. I thought in error. This board is great which has led us to use it long-term. There are pros and cons, but the pros vastly outweigh the cons. Cons There are a few quirky issues, but they are minor and don't affect the use of the board. Sometimes the USB interface doesn't always connect the way it should, but pulling it out and reinserting it works every time. One of the potentiometers was bent transporting the board even though we dealt with it very carefully. I'm guessing the materials of the post aren't the best. I bent it back, and it still works well. The other quirky feature is recording out only allows a single stereo track with no multitrack available. In other words, you won't be able to mix tracks coming out of the board into your computer. We don't use this option, so for us this is no problem. If you want to mix tracks, it will be. Pros The sound quality is good. The build quality is solid although a bit clunky. Despite the quirks with the USB, it works very well connected to our temporary computer system. We've played from the computer and recorded to the computer, and we've never had a single problem. Despite the bent potentiometer, all sliders seem to function and are much smoother than I expected at this price point. All normal options are there including mute and audition buttons. There are plenty of channels for the multi-mic setup we use. We've never had to use the Bluetooth option, but that is a nice feature as well if necessary. Overall, I highly recommend this board for a quick and simple setup, especially for public events that require a PA system. There's no beating the quality and flexibility at this price point. ... show more

First of all, I am using this as a mixer for live music and secondarily for recording. It does a great job of mixing live music and the 8 channels helps a lot. The channels are low noise and I like that you have 4 inputs that can take XLR or ¼”. All of the functions are pretty basic to mixers so no other surprises. The quality is great and everything seems tight and well made. The Bluetooth works as expected with only a small bit of lag. There are a few downsides, that make this a less than perfect mixer but none of these are deal breakers for live recording. However, stay away from this if you plan on using it as an audio interface for recording. For instance, there are no “Mute” buttons for each channel. This means that when you need to silence a channel you have to turn down the volume and remember where it was so that you can return it to the correct volume when needed. The USB to PC output is very very weak. I believe it is just an audio input/output feature and there are NO ASIO drivers available. The biggest issues come in the form of a manual and service. First, when I unpacked the box I got a card that said register and get a free Dynamic Mic. So I registered and nothing. I did a chat with customer service and they said, after a huge delay, I would be getting an email with information to first write a review then I would get the mic. So far no email or other info. Second, I asked if he had a listing of what the 16 DSP effects were since the manual does not say and I got a one word answer – Nope. (He then gave me a YouTube video where someone figured them out). Third, I asked if there were ASIO drivers and I received another one word response – Nope. Forth, I asked if he could give me the specs so I could write my own driver and I again got a one word answer – Nope. After some pressing I was finally told I would have to email customer service for the info. I am still waiting and I doubt I will ever see it. Bottom line is for live performance its pretty good, but stay away if you want it as a PC interface. I am using this to do live radio shows at venues. I can produce the show and upload it to the server at the same time using the one connection to the laptop. The channel controls are very nice. Product arrived in good working order. Sturdy build with a small footprint, perfect for a home studio. Setup is easy and the sound and features are decent for the price. Used mostly for fun jam sessions at home with daw connections for recording and playback.

The mixer is good, especially for the price. My previous mixer was a Xenyx 802 (12 yrs old) that was starting to get static issues with pots and I needed a couple more channels with pre-amps. All of the features on the Pyle work well and I really like the ability to control the headphone/control volume independently from the main mix which you cannot do with the xenyx. Biggest complaint, and the reason for 4 stars, is the signal level to the headphones is VERY high! I can never set it higher than 2 and there is bleed through at 0. The opposite is true for the main volume out. At 10 it appears to be limiting the full volume compared to the xenyx. Quite a bit actually. It's too bad as I like everything else about this mixer. I have not used the bluetooth yet, so cannot comment. ... show more
