Unfortunately, these were not of great quality. The glass was scratched and dirty, even with multiple attempts at cleaning. The mattes are also not squarely cut, which is made very obvious when a photo was placed with them. The frames themselves are lightweight and uniformly black, but because the glass is so cloudy these are not able to be used. I ordered this set of frames to review because I had a piece of art that, including pre-installed mat, was 6x8 - an odd size that can be hard to accommodate. This frame was perfect, with a 5x7 opening and the ability to remove the mat to get a full 6x8 opening. I also wasn't sure which color would work best with my art, so the assortment was great so I could see all of the options together and evaluate. These frames came safely packaged in a protective styrofoam wrapper, although I might have preferred a more eco-friendly alternative. Each was individually shrink-wrapped, so if you wanted to split this set with a friend, you certainly could. Aesthetically, I actually liked all six. The description of 'distressed wooden design' had me thinking shabby farmhouse chic, but these are pretty clean and understated in person and only one of the six really looks 'distressed' - there's enough texture to the rest to give them some visual interest, but nothing that limits their versatility. I tend towards minimalist design preferences and my partner prefers more transitional aesthetics, and we both found most of these frames met our decorating goals. The construction of the frames is about what you'd expect for an entry level frame; a thin border, and a cardboard backer that slots under the frame with rotating spring clips. In my case, I had a pre-matted piece of art, and isntalling it was a major challenge because the frames are thin enough that the mat plus the backing plate were too thick. I solved this issue by cutting away a bit of the cardboard backer around the areas where the latches rotate in - that gave them enough play that they were able to fit. (See attached photo for an example of how to make this modification if needed.) Of course, if you're going to install a flat piece of art and use the provided mat, which most people will, this won't be an issue. The frames all come with a kickstand on the back for desktop or shelf use, but if you want to wall mount them, it's easy to remove the kickstand - just slide it to one side and the two pieces will separate, as shown in one of the attached photos to this review. Are these heirloom quality archival frames? Not at all. But for the price, I'm quite happy with what I received; for the price of a breakfast sandwich, each of these frames far exceeds expectations, and the convenient multipack means I might actually have a frame on hand next time I get a new piece of art I want to hang. ... show more

You can tell how much a manufacturer cares about their product by how the package it. This set of frames came individually packaged in plastic, which was then placed into a large styrofoam box, which was placed into a cardboard box, which was then placed in an even larger and sturdier cardboard box (not pictured). So yeah, they care about their product. These frames look really nice. Each frameโ€™s actual size is 5.5โ€ x 7โ€ but they are sized to display a 4โ€x6โ€ picture (by removing the matte) or 3.5โ€x5โ€ picture (by retaining the matte). They come with a cleaning cloth for the glass and a set of plastic wall-hanging hooks. Iโ€™ve included a couple of pictures comparing these frames to some Ikea frames for 4โ€ x 6โ€ pictures. The Ikea frames are good quality (for Ikea) but donโ€™t hold a candle to these frames. The Ikea frames are slightly smaller, but their look and feel is very plastic / mass produced. We only had one issue with these frames, and it was due to the rivets that connect the hanging hooks and latches on the back of the frame. Those hooks and latches are tight and provide a secure fit, but they also have an issue in that they protrude through the backing, and come into contact with the picture that you have loaded into the frame. The result is that you will see 3 pronounced raised dots in your picture. We fixed this by cutting some 4โ€x6โ€ pieces of cellophane and placing them between the pictures and the backing. That extra bit of cushioning removed almost all of the bumps in the photos. My recommendation is that this manufacturer either add that cellophane into their frame, or include a small pack of it with their frames. ... show more

I got these frames to give my children's school pictures to family members. They are very lightweight, but still feel sturdy enough. They are packaged encased is Styrofoam, so no issues with damage in shipping. Almost all of the frames I received had a weird foggy film all over both sides of the glass. I tried cleaning it with the included polishing cloth, windex, and even dish soap and a scrubby sponge, but nothing worked and I've been unable to remove the film. Luckily you don't really notice it once the pictures are inside. Most of the frames also have an issue with the bottom clasp. The gap for the clasp isn't quite big enough, so it doesn't want to slip in or stay there if you do manage to force it. It's a pretty simple fix though, as a little bit of making tape is enough to secure the back to the frame. Overall these are decent, simple frames for the price, and my kids' pictures look good in them. ... show more

I love the frames! They are nice quality and it is very easy to open and close the backing. I've shown a picture with the mat and without. The only thing I didn't like was that the glass is very dirty. There was palm prints and fingerprints. I tried glass cleaner and rubbing alcohol, but it didn't seem to help. I'll have to try some other cleaners and see if they work better. The funky glass didn't affect a palm tree picture, but it may be more noticeable over a less busy print with lighter colors. ... show more
