The main scope is great and the different colors are perfect for different situations or lighting. I had an issue with the back up sight breaking and customer service was absolutely excellent! If nothing else i recommend this seller as much or more than the product. Super nice and willing to work with me. Be nice to them and i can only imagine they'll be willing to bend over backwards to fix the issue. FYI the back up sight on this scope is glued in and not designed to be removed, SO DON'T TRY TO REMOVE THE BACK-UP SIGHTS! God bless.

Right off the bat this is a bigger scope than Im used to, and for some that might be an issue. However for me I truly love it. With glass as big as it has (compared to standard slim scope) the sweet spot for your eye is increased and you have plenty of room for your cheek without having to jam it into the stock to get the right sighting. On literally all my other scopes I have to dig my cheek into the stock to get my eye to line up perfectly with the reticle. With this one I dont have to. I know to a lot this might not be a big deal, but for me who often shoots on one rifle for a solid hour or more its an incredibly nice feature to have. With that out of the way let me give you my pros / cons Pros: -Affordable large glass scope -Nice glass with little achromatic aberrations -Reticle is clear and easy to see in bright sun -Well made and solid -Holds sight well on my 30/30 -Tight mounting and hold mount Cons: -Its big and heavy (not a con to some) -Blue/green light is useless and un-needed (gimmicky) -Its a bit interesting aesthetically. Very modern-esque. Which some love and some hate Honestly this is probably my fav scope now just for the sheer eye relief it provides not to mention its clear and open optics. Its chromatic ability is on par with scopes in the 2k range (amazing). My biggest quip to be honest is the color difference for reticles its offers. Green & Blue have no business being a color option as both impede the eyes ability to focus and create too much color variation. There is a reason all lighted rectices are red and thats due to the fact that red does not cause eye strain nor does it cause you vision to shift or misaligned like with blue and green. The only reason it offers those colors is for novelty as they have no place in a serious scope. Granted you dont have to use them, it still seems such a waste to include them. All in all though youre not going to find another scope that even compares especially in anywhere near this price range.

First off I do have experience with different type of optics from US Optics, Nightforce, Holosun, etc. This optic is decent.. but has some flaws that personally wouldn't want to use on a duty rifle. Weight This optic is heavy.. really heavy.. Probably the heaviest optic I have held for what it does. Glass: The glass is clear which is good. No tint color either. I like the fact they don't have some type blue or green tinting like I've seen in other lower price glass. One thing I found that I don't like is that the glass is reflective. Just in the room lighting I can get distracted by seeing a reflection of my eye in the glass as I am viewing through it. Eye Relief: It is vary narrow but I can accept it if place correct upon the firearm. Reticle: The reticle tick marks and suck is nothing special it has a center dot (a tad bigger than I like) a horseshoe, and tick marks for wind and elevation holdovers. All of it is reasonable. in lay out. Illumination: How the two illumination methods are passive lighting and active lighting. The horseshoe and windage tick marks which uses active lighting. The windage tick marks (same as the one above) and the elevation tick marks passive lighting. If your in mix type of lighting conditions and your moving through brush.. I can see issues of the lighting swapping between the lit reticle marks and black reticle. BTW the black reticles look decent. Active lighting is where it uses battery power to light up the reticle. The colors it has is blue and red. The red is familiar and normal to look at. The blue looks strange and feels ununiform. Passive lighting is where it uses the natural lighting lights up the reticles. It is strange that this lights up only the tick marks and not the main dot. Also it appears to be uneven in lighting it. Without lit reticle and uneven lighting = BAD optic. Active lighting is basically lighting the reticle using power. The blue and red illumination doesn't have a lot of adjustment. in brightness but seems to focus on being more bright than dim. Low light I want dim,.. but since it has red, it shouldn't screw with your night vision (as in your eyes don't get saturated). The blue is just weird to look at.. and could be tricks with my eyes, but it looks uneven. I'll have to look at it again later. Diopler: The rear eye diopler is hard to work with. You can't tell where the zero point is at. You just have to turn and turn. I suppose since I'm not looking at a range greater than 15 yards.. I have a hard time figure out if I focused it to the optimal value. Secondary sights: I haven't messed with it, but likely I'd never use it since it is so high. Likely need a chin weld to make it work. From the instructions it appears adjustable for windage and elevation. The front sight has a fiber optic so it will be visible in the daylight. Mount: The mounting is fine. I haven't torqued it on anything yet but looks like it will work. I haven't checked to see if it is cheap aluminum which can strip easily. I'll update if I fee like it will strip. The method of mounting is just two screws which is normal thing I've seen with cheaper optic mounts. Finish: The finish is okay. I prefer mat, but this has a semi gloss. It isn't like the typically Chinese finish on aluminium with huge reflection.. just a light semi reflection. Accessories: This came with a lot more accessories I would have expected. It comes with a sunshield, and a kill flash. I find that this is a nice touch to offer for free. This even came with caps for the front and rear glass.. which is surprising. They are just screw in caps so they will stay very secure and protect your stuff when you receive it. Also it comes with a cleaning cloth and a manual. Packaging: The production was well package in a nice box. Giftable quality. Some of the stuff I receive from Amazon is typically package poorly.. but this box was decent to good quality. All in all, personally this optic is not for me. I'll probably throw it on one of my bench guns to play with but I can't see myself carrying this thing around due to the weight.

I loved this scope at first, and it's pretty clear. Plus, I like that one of the illumination colors is blue. But it will not adjust far enough to the left. At first I thought it was a hop up issue. I was dealing with one of those annoying 3 adjustment position hop ups, and those things are always tricky to get right. But it wasn't just that replica. By the time I'd switched form paintball -where there's no real point in optics given the closer ranges and innate lack of accuracy- to airsoft, it was long past the time I could have contacted customer service. So I don't know if this scope is just a lemon or they're all faulty. Approach with caution. As always, don't support Amazon's unethical and sometimes illegal treatment of associates by voting with your money that that sort of thing is okay! Wage theft (hundreds of hours in my case alone, and I was far from the only one at my site), medical discrimination, sexual harassment- by site HR, no less. Theft from employee lockers- also by HR! This is not okay. I used to be an employee, and I saw things and was one of Amazon's victims myself. Don't let what was done to me be done to anyone else!

I always shied away from this line of scopes manufactured by Texas Precision Optics. I found it really cheesy for them to call the scope line "sniper". When I got this opportunity to try out one of their products, I decided to give it chance. I am pleasantly surprised to say the least. The scope is very well made. The fit and finish is superb. The optics quality is top notch. The clarity nearly matches my Leupold mark 5. I know that's not an apples to apples but I'm just trying to state how clear the lenses are. The markings and the reticle are precise and clear to make out. This scope is a bit on the heavier side and with any scopes that have an eye relief, it does take a little getting used to. I can suggest overlooking the "sniper" moniker and giving this scope a try. I'm sure you won't regret it.

Clear optic that is extremely well made. It was easy to mount and zero in, plus holds zero with no problems. The illumination is good but being an etched reticle, isn't required, so works without a battery. The eye relief is great much longer than expected, further than a lot of lower power optics. The "iron sights" really aren't that useful but I guess could work in a pinch if needed. Honestly I'd rather not have them to keep the optic smaller but can live with them. In all is a great quality optic for the cost. It is a little on the heavy side but isn't the heaviest I've tried either. I definitely say it's worth looking at.

Well, this scope actually turned out to be great and at the price of $280 it's hard to beat it! It's a 5X prism scope, the reticle is etched into the glass, so you don't need to turn illumination on to see it. The illumination is available in three colors - red, green, and blue. Windage and elevation turrets require a small screwdriver for adjustments and are covered with caps. Caps have leashes and are attached to the scope body, so you shouldn't be worried about losing them when making adjustments. The 5X magnification is great for medium to long range shooting and the field of view is huge. As mentioned before, the scope has illumination, and you have a choice of red, green, or blue colors. I normally do not even consider a scope that does not have illumination because it greatly limits its usability especially in dusk and nighttime. The brightness knob is stiff, and its location makes it really inconvenient to operate. Each color has only 3 levels of brightness, which somewhat limits its usability. Red is great for night, green is great for day, dusk, or dawn. I don't know when and why I might need blue though. Scope has exceptionally clear and bright optics, I did not notice any distortions. The reticle is etched on the glass and is very sharp. Note that illumination only lights up the central circle only, not the whole reticle. On top of it, the scope is nitrogen purged and fog proof, but I did not expect otherwise. This scope also features built-in backup iron sight, which I have never seen in any other scope. The iron sight is located directly on top of the scope, and I'd say it's a questionable feature of limited usability. I guess the idea is that you can use the iron sight for quick target acquisition, which can be followed up by precise 5X prism scope targeting. I.e. you would be switching your eyesight from the iron sight to prism scope and back. For this purpose, I prefer to mount a red dot sight on top of a scope, but this scope does not provide such an option. I don't think I like this iron sight, so I'm gonna take off one star. The scope comes with a low-profile mount, no co-witness setup available. The Picatinny mount itself looks good, has recoil stops and uses two screws for secure mounting. The screw-on lens covers are an unusual option, I really prefer pop-up covers because unscrewing the covers takes like 30+ secs. I strongly suggest ditching the included covers and replacing them with regular pop-ups. The eyepiece focus ring on the scope itself is tight. The scope looks and feels very sturdy, rigid, and well built. The magnification is fixed and cannot be adjusted, which is normal for this type of scope. It is a little heavy weighing 692 grams but no complaints here. I want to especially complement the manufacturer for managing to make such a large field of view and practically rimless picture. I really don't know how they did it, but the projected view is huge, and the tube becomes practically not visible when you look through it. The picture is crystal clear, optics in this scope are absolutely superb. The reticle is very pronounced, crisp and looks like a hologram projection, i.e. it sorts of pops out of the scope and floats in the air. I was seriously impressed with the quality of the picture and the reticle. However, I am not a huge fan of the reticle itself, it's a simple Horseshoe type with a vertical line with marks for bullet drop compensation. I'm yet to try to use it in the field, so more impressions and feedback will be added later on, I just don't have enough experience with this type of reticles. *** TL;DR *** Yes, I would definitely recommend it to my friends at a shooting range. Putting aside the few complaints that will hopefully be resolved in future models, this is an amazing 5X prism scope. It is very well designed and very well made. It's budget friendly and for the range of features and quality of its construction, I'd say it's worth its cost. Though I don't think the horseshoe reticle is a good choice for a 5X scope, and I find the built-in iron sight somewhat useless. Therefore, I give it 4 stars. +++ Pros +++ 1) High-quality and solidly built. 2) Prism type scope. 3) Crystal clear optics. 4) Reticle is sharp and crisp. 5) Red/green/blue illumination. 6) Turrets are covered with caps. 7) Caps are attached with "leashes". 8) Amazingly large field of view. 9) Scope tube is practically not visible. 10) Water, fog, dust proof. 11) Nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed. 12) Features built-in backup iron sight. --- Cons --- 1) Horseshoe reticle is not the best choice. 2) Built-in iron sight is a questionable future. 3) Only 3 brightness levels per color. 4) Brightness knob is inconveniently located. 5) Not a quick-attach type of mount. 6) Screw-on lens caps are not convenient. 7) Quite heavy, 692 grams.
